As for discussing the book (view spoiler)[ In sequels, I hope Wynter stops whining and does something proactive instead of allowing others to make decisions for her - though to be fair, it was her first time understanding what was going on - and the physical effects were very horrifying (reminded me of King's bloodied 'Carrie' in physical horror). Also, I thought Ritcher would not have killed Raina, instead he would have placed her in some form of detention cell, it was out of character, unless Phipps can show in the trilogy that he became incredibly cold-blooded. Plus, the tension between the brothers was also forced - I mean, both saw a mother with powers they didn't understand - Ritcher wants to not only control that power 'for the state that took his mother away' but also to kill millions of others! It didn't make sense. But well, whatever. I liked the book.

And let's be honest, there is definitely no 'cure' (!)

A lot is left to explore in the trilogy, for e.g. whether Wynter learns to control the power, accurately predict future and prevent it. And to me personally it appears that the final vision Wynter keeps seeing, Jenner being shot and Ezra disintegrating, it's because Jenner goes rogue and tries to kill Wynter and Ezra stops it, but has some powers that makes him kill himself so that no harm comes to Wynter. Cool story. (hide spoiler)]
