Jo | 1094 comments We are looking for nominations for sci-fi books written between 1920 and 1929. This can be a novel or a collection of short stories. The only books that cannot be nominated are A Voyage to Arcturus by David Lindsay and We by Yevgeny Zamyatin as they were read last time round.

Nominations:
The Skylark of Space by E. E. Doc Smith
Metropolis by Thea Von Harbou
Jurgen: A Comedy of Justice by James Branch Cabell
Planetoid 127 by Edgar Wallace

Jim (jimmaclachlan) | 4367 comments I'll nominate The Skylark of Space by Doc Smith by E.E. "Doc" Smith. I'll probably cringe all the way through, but such pulp is part of the important beginnings of the genre.

The Scribbling Man (thescribblingman) | 204 comments Metropolis by Thea Von Harbou

Jo | 1094 comments I like the sound of all the nominations this month, quite an eclectic mix. I'm going to add to it by nominating Planetoid 127 by Edgar Wallace - only 62 pages. For anyone who likes a longer read, it's also available in this compilation FIVE SCIENCE FICTION NOVELS AND NOVELETTES. PLANETOID 127; THE GREEN RUST; 1925; THE BLACK GRIPPE; THE SODIUM LINES; WIRELESS By Rudyard Kipling although not all come from the 1920's.
