Iain Macdonald | 1 comments Hey there. I'm new to goodreads and wanted to join a Scottish group. I live in Edinburgh but originally from Thurso. I mainly read Scottish and Scandinavian fiction.

Jemma (jemz29) | 1 comments I've just finished my degree in English literature and language at glasgow university. I don't feel like I've managed to read as many Scottish authors/poets as I would like - only Gray and Burns I think. Hopefully this group will point me in the right direction.

Barbara (bdegar) It would be great to get a discussion going on contemporary Scottish lit. I am just getting into it - and these writers are virtually unknown here in the US.

Last Monday night I went to hear James Kelman James Kelman at my local independent bookstore. Being completely unfamiliar with him, I expected a young emerging writer. I discovered a veteran writer with numerous literary awards to his credit. I bought his new bookMo Said She Was Quirky. I have ordered 3 or 4 of his books online used and look forward to reading them this summer.
