To whom is Jalan telling his story?

WOW! What a great idea. But unfortunately it's invalid since the two of them have met.I don't think that there should be someone specific for him to tell the story to. M. L. is a good first person writer and that is why Jallan is "telling" his story.
Do you ask yourself the same thing every time you read a POV chapter in a book?
Yeah, well, I posted that question long before The Wheel of Osheim came out. I did like how the two of them met though. It was quite fun!Yes, I always wonder to whom a first person narrator is telling his or her story. In most cases it's just the reader, I guess, though to me it makes more sense if it's someone inside the story. Or like Fitz Farseer writing his story down for the sake of understanding it himself.
It's an interesting question. The same could be asked of any first person POV. I've written in the first person before. I see it more of a chronicling of their journey than anything else. Perhaps they have a diary of sorts where they're writing stuff down. First person POV's rely largely on the main characters thoughts about what's going on.
I believe Jalan would tell his story to anyone who would listen, you know, with the big narcissistic ego and all. However, he does have moments of nobilty, though not enough. It is an interesting question though. I believe we are seeing inside Jalan's head as it is happening.

Were you ever wondering to whom Jalan Kendeth is telling his story? I certainly do. Apparently he is not writing it down (like Jorg did). So who in the Broken Empire listens to those words?
I started reading The Liar's Key some days back, and like to think that Jalan is telling his side of events to Builder-Ghost-Jorg. Makes it that much more exciting!
What do you guys think?
