•Did you enjoy the book? Why? Why not?
•Did you feel that the book fulfilled your expectations? Were you disappointed?
•What did you think of the characters? Could you relate to them or no?
- Who were your favorite characters?
- Who were your least favorite characters?

What didn't fulfill my expectations was Jo. I know so many other readers don't read the stories for the love interest. And normally I don't either. But I really enjoy SK's worlds and characters for the most part and can at least like something about her characters. But with Jo as many more than know by now. I was not feeling her all that much.
I mean she was the most uber know it all, shun the "weirdos" type character ever. I get there are some real people that don't believe in the paranormal or supernatural and that is cool, I'm kinda one of them at times. But dude, with stuff like that, you have to be just as sensitive about it as if you are talking to someone else about politics and religion. And she was uber self important about it and really dissing her family.
I know some folks say others can't talk about their family but them. But in this case I believe even Jo SHOULDN'T have been talking about her family the way she was doing. As she definitely has no clue about HALF of the things that have gone down in her family. And in general just being all ignorant, to Selena that was being nice enough to help her find a job of all things.
The Dev sisters and the dragons for sure. Oh and Thorn of course and Ash. :) The hero wasn't too bad either.

Not making excuses for her, but I can't help but wonder how much of her attitude was influenced by her father's side of the family ... 'cause I can't say that I exactly got a warm, fuzzy feeling from her Uncle Jacob when we met him in Dream Warrior.
Now Talfryn and Ioan (the birds) ... those two were absolutely hilarious. XD

"Heeeeeelp. Get me out of here."
oh my god! I pictured them freaking out in their cages

And wait we met more of the Dev family in Dream Warrior? Gah, I totally glazed over a lot with that book.

Yeah, Jo's Uncle Jacob owns the garage where Jericho worked--Landry's Garage. He was the boss that confronted Jericho after the visit from Delphine and Phobos, and he wanted to know if Jericho was in any legal trouble.
If I remember correctly, Jo once worked there for about two hours, or something like that. XD

And actually why I repeat there is something up with that Dev family. They are always having something otherworldly going on with them or having a brush with it in some form or fashion.

Josette thinks about "Aunt Rocky" and all 9 of her "whackedout, freakfest daughters". Pg 26 of the HC. I cannot find a Rocky, Roxanne etc. in my name list, and it's not on the family tree that I made either. The father's name is Tom which came out of either Amanda or Tab's book.

I believe you are correct on that Myst. Cause for all that has gone down about the family. The sisters and now the cousin and that bit of family has made the spotlight just a bit. But for the actual parents not so much.

I agree and hope so as well. Be one hell of a family reunion to say the least. Maybe even find out that their parents are descendants of some Gods or something somewhere too.

The humor of this scene is amazing.

From the moment Josette meets Cadegan, she knows something about him isn’t quite right. And it’s not just because she can’t even begin to pronounce his last name: Maboddimun. Mysterious and armed with lethal sarcasm, he seems a lot older than his apparent age…
Centuries ago, Cadegan sold his soul for vengeance against the betrayer who cursed him. Forced against his will to do good, he hates everything in life. All he wants is a way out. But for the damned there is only eternal suffering. And yet there is something about Josette that intrigues him as much as it irritates and frustrates him. Something he can’t seem to fight, and the last time he felt this way about a woman, it cost him his soul.
He knows he has to stay away from her, but the evil her friends unleashed is hellbent on consuming her soul. Something he cannot allow. If one more innocent is taken, he will be sent back to an unimaginable prison that makes his current hell look like paradise. But how can he keep her safe when his being with her is the greatest threat of all?
