I thought this book was great! It was a very easy read with characters that were fun to get to know. What I thought was great too is that while the story had both good and bad elements, you felt that the narrator could approach them all with a sense of hope and the idea that there was the potential for good in everything (even with a little cynicism thrown in for good measure!)
Hi there! This is my first post in this group- thanks for approving me to join! I read this book earlier in the month and had a surprise appendicitis, so my memory of the book is not as fresh after surgery and a few weeks of bed rest. However, I really enjoyed this book- I read it very quickly as I found the story engaging, the cartoons entertaining, and the style easy to follow. I loved how quirky our main character is. I was also impressed with the delicacy and humour the author used upon approaching sensitive topics. Great read!
