What is the Shetlands like? I wonder what your accent is like. I'm originally from Nottingham, but relocated to Yorkshire 3 years ago.
Yay another Brit!Nice to see people in the same time zone =D. We have a good mix of people from around the world here.
I'm in England too, up in the north west
I think we have more English people then any others now.Sweden! What is the weather like over there at this time of the year?
Well, this summer has been a bit of a dud. It's been mild and rainy for the most part, I miss last year when it was scorching hot and one could hang at the beach with a good book :)
Annabella wrote: "We haven't had a good summer either. Rainy and just down right miserable."Annabella you should've been down here in the South East!! I've never been so tanned before - considering how little I was actually outdoors it's astounding and there was so little rain apart from the thunderstorm a week or so ago (after it caused damage up north)
Kent is NEVER going to get away without a hosepipe ban this year :/
Are you kidding me! I cannot believe you have had this weather. It is like a different world up here. Wished I still lived in the Midlands..... I feel a tantrum brewing.

Criminy it was boiling!! Right before the massive storm. Ugh I'm glad it's now cooled down enough for me to be comfortable sitting around in jeans :/
Yeah, it's pretty disappointing. We get enough grey skies and rain in the fall. Though it is of course cosy to snuggle up with a good book and some tea!
Yes we got the heatwave, but I couldn't enjoy it because I was at work all week. The weather was rubbish at the weekend and went down hill from there.

So many different countries! I hope by the time this group is really active, we'll have all the countries in the Olympics.

We have the US - Well one state.
There probably are, I thought Poland was in it but I just looked it up on Google. Those were the only ones I found.
Okay, I actually found a list.

So ignore my other comment cos' I don't think I can put all the countries. o;
I also found this:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/2...
I think the list you created was for the first official reports of the game.
Yes! Another country off our list! Welcome to the group. My friend just came back from Turkey and would love to go back.
Ahah, yeah even though it's so nice to feel some sunshine on your skin it gets so hot for me too...I'd like to visit England , i like rainy weather though
Hi there! I've never been to Turkey myself but I have a friend who goes for a month every summer and just loves it :) Welcome and also, have all the rain you want (I'm in Sweden so there's plenty to take from here as well ;) )
hahah sweden! I've heard so many nice things about Sweden actually. Thnaks for the rain :D and i tink i'd love all the snow you have there too!
Thinking about it, I do prefer stormy weather. When I go on holiday it is like an actual holiday with sun!I just love sitting inside and watching the rain and lightning. Don't forget the thunder though!
Yeah it's so nice being inside, watching, listening the rain but mostly when it rains here it doesn't rain much and makes me feel kinda dissapointed you know :D
I have a demanding dog so I have to be outside a lot. Really I do love ALL weather for that (like snow!). So it's quite nice with a mild rainy summer (cause otherwise it's to hot for dog to dog ;) ) but it's a bit... boring... shall we say, to always be out in grey weather. So I'll gladly borrow just a few days of scorching heat to break up the montony :)
I much prefer cooler weather - trying to do kickboxing or running in the heat we had at the beginning of this month was just too much for me :S I had to stop the runs as I would've needed a backpack full of water bottles just to keep on this side of dehydration!
