Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

Over the weekend, the KU/KOLL units went crazy. Sales are still trickling in, but I'm up to almost 1600 KOLL units since Friday.
Does anyone know why there is such a sudden interest, but only in that area, not sales. I did offer Part 2 for free for 2 days for the 4th of July, but it I only gave away 215--no where near the 1600 for part 2.

I'm baffled and want to know what I did or what's happening. I'd appreciate your insight and ideas.

Those aren't borrows, they are pages read. They have changed the whole way KU is counted.

KU is now based on pages read, not units borrowed.

And the projected payout will be something like half a cent per page read.

Wouldn't it be great if those were the number of borrows? I think it's what we all dream of when we check the dashboard - that suddenly we will have been discovered overnight.. but, sorry, as has already been pointed out, it's just a change in the way KU royalties are calculated - it looks good though! Hang in there - who knows... maybe one day...
