The episode was ok. Snow and David were too mushy gushy, less with each other, and more about the whole 'good vs evil' sort of thing, which has gone back to being black and white in this show.
There were many parts which made me laugh because they were so ridiculously stupid. why would you need eight holes in the ground to plant one tiny beanstalk? Woulnd't it be smarter to wait until they found Cora to plant the bean instead of going along with her plans?
Oh, and David and Snow seem to have the 'I'll sacrifice myself to save everyone' 'no! don't! I love you!' scene about every other episode. Blech.
I did like the interpretation of Jack and the Beanstalk though, and the fact that Jack is a girl...
Hook was pretty awesome as well, and Rumpel was very different but in a good way.
Ya, Regina annoyed me as well. I liked her turning good.

Ditto. I liked Jack as a girl. She's pretty much the perfect heroine. She's attractive, persuasive, and knows exactly what she wants. She has the physical skills. She knows how to use the fact that she's a woman to her advantage, instead of giving up because of it. She's anything but innocent. Ugh. She would have made an epic Emma Swan.
Good point about the beanstalk and the eight holes... only, I think it's 7 holes, because the one dwarf crossed the town line and forgot who he was (yet another awesome thing that was forgotten).
David and Snow are starting to get on my nerves too. I thought that once they got their memories back, Snow would become the epically snarky chick from the old Fairytale world. Instead, she feels whiny. I hate it when she does the whole sigh-talking thing. Do you know what I mean?

Lol to 'perfect Emma Swan'. The problem is that she's too bad-ass to be the savior of good on this show :P
Oh, right. So Tiny is sort of taking his place? Apart from that, I can not imagine a scenario when the name Tiny is a compliment. I think it's pretty insulting any way you look at it.
Ya, I do. I liked it so much when they were separated. Except that then, they were STILL mushy about seeing each other. Blech. I feel so sorry for the actors who have to act all that mushyness.

Well, that's the point. They try to make Emma Swan seem "bad-ass" as you put it. She's a bail bonds person, she was a thief and con-woman for a while. And now? Oh, she's just taking the equivalent "good" route to her former activities. But Jennifer Morrison fails at being bad-ass, and the old Snow was bad-ass, but the new Snow isn't.
I guess Tiny is taking his place. I get what you say about the name, but I don't think the compliment is in the name. I think it's in the history of that name. Tiny was the name he was called by those he loved. It doesn't really matter what they call you, as long as they say it with love. If you think about it... Anton really is a dwarf... in giant terms. Bahaha, get it?
The sigh-talking thing that Snow does... it's not just a Snow White thing. It's a Ginnifer Goodwin thing. She does it in Something Borrowed too. I LOVE that movie.

But i think they don't want to make her too bad-ass, because she's supposed to be the ultimate good guy, and that sort of doesn't really work...
oh, lol. I didn't think of him being a dwarf before :)

I personally didn't like the fairytale story too much. There was so little character depth and too much tom-foolery. ;) I liked Jack though. She has character, although, I would like to know more about her backstory.
The storybrooke part was a bit... Eh. I cannot believe how fast Regina changed back to who she was before. She's snarkier now, though, than she was before. It's really unrealistic how fast she changed, so... Yeah. I'm seriously annoyed with the authors.
