So here is excited about the new series coming this year?

What new series? A new SM??

I've seen it going around, but have yet to look it up.

I have also moved this topic to the Anime folder, as it is about an anime.

What is it called???

Last I heard there was absolutely no new information about it. I think it's supposed to be coming out in the summer? Possibly June 30th? For Usagi's birthday.


I'm very excited. Also a little disturbed to realize that the live action series came out in 2004. It doesn't really seem like it was that long ago.

I'd like something completely new, or I'd like a continuation. I don't know if I'd like just a remake if it's not changed up a little bit.

What I loved about the live action series is they changed it up a LOT. There were plenty of rumors that Sailor Moon wouldn't be the moon princess, and what they did to Venus. I cried my eyes out over that. Very impressed with the actress who played Mars because when she attacked the MOTD after she found out about Minako, it was amazingly good acting. You could feel the pain. And I loved Dark Mercury!


The sad thing is, it doesn't really matter if they just remake it with different images, I'll still watch the entire thing. I've been announcing to all of my friends that if they don't see me this year it's because I'll be watching the new Sailor Moon and won't have time for anything else.

I have heard that it's a new series and Takeuchi has complete control over it. I think I agree that I'll watch no matter if it's a remake or new show all together.

I'm looking forward to it. I'm interested in seeing where they go with the art. It has to be different in some way, otherwise there is not much of a point in rebooting it.

I cannot wait for this new sailor moon. I have been excited for months. I have not heard any more information for a while. Hopefully it will come out soon.

I am a complete sailor moon geek, so I will probably not leave my house once this has been released;)

I've heard that this is supposed to be like "FMA: Brotherhood" where they use more of the manga's style and stick to the manga's plot.

It's supposed to be "summer" season, so it may start up in the next two or three months. :)

While I think it's perfectly possible that they will follow the plot of the manga more closely, I don't think they'll use the same art style. Sailor Moon is pretty old and the art style is outdated(not to say that I don't like it). I imagine they'll modernize the art for the new series.
