Stacey Ok, so I am wondering how this going to work because to me it seems that either she going to have to make Acheron a lying asshole in order to redeem Styxx Or just flat out make him the bad guy. i just cant see Acheron being a bad guy. You cannot just write off a castration and Styxx slice Acheron face open and burn with hot iron. That was not a misleading word. But I am interested either way just for the fact that I can get my dose of Acheron. What are your opinions?

AlbertaJenn I think she will take the middle ground. Styxx wasn't the evil that we thought, but Ash isn't quite the angel, either.

Look at how she worked Stryker's HEA. Even after reading One Silent Night, I still don't like him. But, she is very good at showing both sides.

Stacey I guess i am not a forgiving person cause i just can see him in any other way beside a jerk. I just finsh reading acheron again just to see if any of the things Styxx did or said can be misleading, and i got nothing. The only thing that made me wonder was Styxx trying to kill his father. But all the other crap was just to hard to look past. Mostly the physical things he did, like I said either Acheron lied or Styxx did it and he is a ass. I dont see a middle ground. Acheron is not a angel but in all the other books she wrote and there are a lot, he is a good "person" that has made lots of sacrafices for the people he loves, and the world. Versus like 3 books that showed Styxx being nice too Acheron and he was forced to get to that point. But, I am open to be persueded. It will be hard butI am sure Mrs.Kenyon will amaze us. Oh, if Acheron was not Styxx's parents real son, then why does he look like the father and Styxx twin? I mean if his parents were gods I'm sure their DNA trumps a mere human. One of those things that make you go HUUUMMMM!

Heather Wow!!... Truly a story of the grass is greener on the other side. I am glad she "listened" to Styxx about his story it is as heartbreaking as Acheron's. Hopefully they will continue to work together going forward.

Linda I agree with you Heather, a truly remarkable story. Leave it to Sherri to be able to write something like this one. I read it all in one seating which was from 10:00am release day to 2:30am the next morning.. All I can say is WOW!

Linda

bubblegumpopper There are two sides to every story and appearances can be deceiving (don't worry, that's the biggest spoiler I'll give you!) I had the same doubts and I was impressed with how she managed to play it. I still like both, but Acheron was kind of a dick to Styxx. Acheron's story was my favourite in the series up to this point, but I could see how only viewing it from his perspective could be misleading. Styxx is now, hands down, the most heartbreaking story in this series.

Sheleigh Redford Wow, nothing more to say than wow...Chelsea you really summed it up quite well with that statement about two sides to every story....I have always believed that "There is no reality...only perception" this book brings that point home...Things are certainly never what they appear. This book is masterful (no surprise) It is very clear that Sherrilyn lives and breathes these characters...the ties to previous characters and history from previous books is flawless...If you only read this one you get a great story, but if you have read all of the previous books...it is a vastly different experience...the interweaving of the character story lines is seamless and brilliant. I have to agree I believe Styxx is hands down the most heartbreaking story in the series.

EDen I have a question for all of you who have read the book, I have gone through a lot of reviews and can’t decide if I should read the book are not. I love Ash and don’t want my image of him damaged to the point where I couldn’t like him anymore. What do you guys think, did your love of Ash survive?

I think you should still read the book. It just gives the other side of the story from Styxx's side. It is a very good read. I don't think it will make you like him less, but then again, he did some things, or, didn't do things that do make him look bad. But, from Ash's perspective, he felt he was justified. I suggest you read it.

I would say you should still read it. He does come off as a jerk a lot of the time but so did Styxx in Ash's book.

Paris (kerbytejas) although thee were some good parts about Styxx - i found the book to be a rehash of Acheron - I expected more from the book - the audible book was 30 hours long - that's a lot of rehash

Crazy4more I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one questioned who's lying???? I loved Risa in ACHERON but she was awful in STYXX and then some. I was annoyed everyone's ignorance and blind to such tragedies.

Agree, STYXX was most heartbroken and that's saying a lot since I loved ACHERON!

I would definitely recommend you read it. I wouldn`t say that the book made me dislike Ash; it just emphasized that though technically a God, he`s also vulnerable to the human tendency to be solipsistic. He suffered greatly, and that made him have a blind spot for the suffering that Styxx went through. It was heartening to see the brothers reunited and strong after so many years of the Gods and the people surrounding them pitting them against one another. It has been one of my favourite reads of the year.

Eve James I loved this book. It takes a great author to make me cry over a character I despised so much. Styxx is definitely one of my favorite characters, so is Ash.

Kryssie Fortune I wept for Ash. I was heartbroken for Styxx. I couldn't imagine how he could have a good side, and his story knocked me for six.

Kimberley siigh....♥ Styxx
I knew it was going to hurt! I devoured it. Amazing writing.

Alice Arleevrooman Okay I love this book and I love the Teaser for it. Can someone please tell me the name of the song? Here's the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGidc...
