This is my first time joining a book club so I have no idea if I am doing this right. I am going to suggest a few historical reads that I thought were amazing. First of all, I would recommend "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. Most people who have talked about his books said that Dan doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to giving details or information of the setting. Honestly, I could care less about what other people think. Its Historical FICTION. Which means FICTION is not true.THe second is "The Davinci Code" by Dan Brown. Another great read that I enjoyed and couldn't put it down. And finally the third, "The Templar Legacy" by Steve Berry. He's a little different from Dan Brown's style but I enjoyed it evermore.

Hi Mackenzie and thanks for your suggestion. It has given me an idea of creating a Recommendations thread in this club, for all who want to recommend a book to others.
Also this club has a monthly book club read and nominations for that book are still happening. So if you want to nominate one of these books for the book club read, then please feel free to. However these books seem to be primarily aimed at an adult audience and this group focuses more on books that are aimed for young adults/teens.

On the bottom right corner of your post there's a little delete button that you can use to delete your comment. Or, if you like you can just leave the comment up.

Hi! I think it would be nice to share favourite authors since a ton of historical fiction writers have written several books and to compare books based on real people (ex: The Young Royals series by Carolyn Meyer) with one that have original character (ex: A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly)

Thanks for the suggestion, Emma Louise. We do have a Books Discussions section where everyone can create a topic for a historical fiction book that they would like to discuss and if folder to proves popular then I might create a topic where members can discuss authors. I'm not too sure what you mean by comparing books, however if you like, feel free to create a topic in the general Topics section to discuss and compare books that have real people and books that have original characters.

Hi Rosya, we do actually have a book discussion thread to go along with the book of the month read where members can discuss the book with other members who are reading it. For this month's group read, A Spy In The House, feel free to check out the book discussion.
Also, if you want to discuss a specific book or author that isn't one of the group reads then feel free to create a topic in the my link text">Book/Author Discussions folder.
