Let's say you had a story about a princess who had to flee her castle after it was raided. She was all alone. Let’s think of two ways to start this:

1. The snotty princess demanded oatmeal for her breakfast as she often did on Sunday mornings.
or...
2. She was running--from what or whom, she knew not. All she knew was that if she stopped her fate would be worse than those at Traitor’s Gate.

Which one do you think is the most interesting?
