Can't join you in that one Donna as I've never watched it. I watch a huge amount of tv, but that's never been on my radar.

message 4: by Jojo (new)

Jojo (jojosbooknook) | 717 comments I used to watch TV all the time, but now I just watch a few shows, Glee, Greys, Criminal Minds, Big Bang and something else but I can't think what! Due to gym class schedules I've been PVRing my shows and then watching them when I have a few, I need to catch up with Greys and Big Bang soon!!

message 5: by Nicolette (new)

Nicolette (cocopuff09120) I don't watch much TV, but I do have my must watch shows. If I miss an episode it would probably ruin my week. I have three; Once Upon a Time, How I Met Your Mother, and above all Walking Dead.

I rarely get to see my shows when they are actually on TV though, I usually watch How I Met Your Mother and Once Upon A Time online and I get Walking Dead sent to my kindle every week.

message 6: by Jojo (new)

Jojo (jojosbooknook) | 717 comments That's it! My other show is Once Upon A Time, though somebody canceled my PVR and I didn't notice until I'd missed a few episodes. Whenever I try to watch it online it's jumpy and freezes constantly so I end up giving up. I guess I'll wait for the DVD.

That's awesome, how did you get that? I love Walking Dead and usually don't get to watch it on Sunday nights when it's on.

message 8: by Liz (new)

Liz (hissheep) After a long day to and from and at work, TV is my "down" time ... tonight it was The Middle, The Neighbors, Criminal Minds and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation ... ;o)

I watch stupid amounts of TV, it's my go to when I want to relax. I watch so much that I even have a spreadsheet to keep track of what's on when!

To list them all would be, well I'd be here a long time but out of the programmes already mentioned ..... Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Big Bang Theory, Once Upon A Time and Walking Dead.

message 10: by Narmeen (new)

Narmeen | 15 comments I don't watch tv a lot. i watch just few tv shows which include revenge, vampire diaries, pretty little liars, criminal minds and big bang theory.

message 11: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska | 1698 comments I don't watch tv much, mainly CSI series and some mystery movies and series, both adaptations and original scripts. I also PVR them, as I usually don't have time to watch them as they are on tv

I never watch anything 'live' any more, all recorded and fast forward through the add breaks!

message 13: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 6870 comments Mod
Once Upon A Time, Elementary, and Grimm are my recents. I've had to let others slide as I just don't have enough time to watch them all.

message 14: by Ayu (new)

Ayu (ianosheas) | 8 comments I have too many shows I adore. I just finished watching the first season of My Mad Fat Diary. Other shows I love: American Horror Story, New Girl, Legend of Korra/Avatar; the Last Airbender, The New Normal...etc etc.

message 15: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska | 1698 comments I also watch Elementary, this renewal of Sherlock Holmes's stories and putting them in new scenery and context is really great fun :)

I agree. I love the way they updated it.

I'm a fan of Elementary too

message 18: by Lori (new)

Lori Baldi Very few shows that I watch regularly. I've had a rough week since the final episode of Season 3 of Downton Abbey. Call me the walking wounded. Regular TV -- the only show that is a must see for me is Modern Family. Jeopardy is a regular show, too. I do like The Good Wife and would like to get to Elementary. I've heard very good things about it. A big fan of Lucy's.

I've had a couple of months to get over Downton Abbey (as it was shown at Christmas for us) but it was sad :(

I'm not a huge fan of most comedy shows, I just don't find a huge amount of them actually funny. However Modern Family has me laughing out loud every episode, Phil is hilarious!

Just watched an episode of Good Wife tonight, love that show.

message 20: by Ayesha (new)

Ayesha Saleem (ayesha_saleem) Ooh, I love Downton Abbey, though I'm only on season 2 right now. And Modern Family is amazing! Gosh, I love Cam and Mitch. And Gloria. And Alex. And Phil. And Manny. And...yeah, I sorta love 'em all.

I love Sherlock BBC, too, the British renewal of Sherlock Holmes. You fans of Elementary should give it a try!

Let's see...I also enjoy Dexter, Supernatural, and Game of Thrones.

message 21: by Jojo (new)

Jojo (jojosbooknook) | 717 comments I just started watching Modern Family, I got the first season on sale. I love it!!

I watch a LOT of TV too and used to have a spreadsheet... Now I use Sidereel. You can track the show you like and indicate which episodes you watched... pretty convenient!!!

I love Criminal minds, greys, dexter, SOA, Supernatural, Scandal, Nashville... When I can I like to watch a season straight so that I don't have to wait for the next episode... Right now I'm watching Grimm, not the best but it's a good show to relax...

message 24: by Lynn, Moderator (new)

Lynn | 4487 comments Mod
Yeah Grimm took a while for me to really start liking it. For most of the first season I kept thinking I was going to give up on it ... I didn't though and really do enjoy it.

Anyone in the UK (or whoever can get BBC programmes) watching Call The Midwife? Such a superb, well made, programme.

message 26: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska | 1698 comments Which BBC programme is it on, I've got some, such as Enterteinment, but not all of them and I would give it a try if it's within my range :)

message 27: by Lynn, Moderator (new)

Lynn | 4487 comments Mod
It's on BBC1

message 28: by Anima (new)

Anima Miejska | 1698 comments Oh, I'm afraid, I don't have access to that programme, but I'll look for it anyway. Thanks for the answer :)

message 29: by Jojo (new)

Jojo (jojosbooknook) | 717 comments Because of the TV license, BBC shows are always behind over here. When it gets picked up by an American/ Canadian network I will for sure be watching it! Have you read the book it's based on? I read it a while ago, I'm not sure when but at least 6 years as I remember buying it in W.H.Smiths!

message 30: by Lynn, Moderator (new)

Lynn | 4487 comments Mod
I'm surprised you haven't got it by now, we are on the second series. Keep an eye out of it, such a beautiful programme, has me in tears most weeks!

No I haven't read the book yet, keep meaning to but that to read list is always never ending.

message 31: by Karen (new)

Karen | 12 comments Since retiring I do have certain shows I watch during the week. THE FOLLOWING, SCANDAL, and NASHVILLE. My husband and I usually watch NETFLIX which is loaded with movies(hubby can't stand commercials).

We have similar tastes. I love all those shows. However I haven't heard of the following! I guess I must try to watch it!!

message 33: by Lynn, Moderator (new)

Lynn | 4487 comments Mod
The Following is a new show with Kevin Bacon as retired FBI agent, who is called in to deal with serial killer, who he captured nine years ago.

While he's been in prison, he has used the Internet to recruit an army of like-minded killers to carry out his wishes...

I've only seen the first episode so far but that was really good.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

I've seen the first 3 here in New Zealand and its FANTASTIC! Episode 4 is on tonight. Watch the rest as soon as you can :) Episode 3 has been the best so far and episode 1 the worst, so things are looking good for this show.

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

And the other programmes I watch are Alcatraz, Criminal Minds, Dr Who, Sherlock, Survivor, Revenge and 666 Hyde Avenue

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh and Game of Thrones. Now read all three of my comments! Dare ya!

I have up to ep 6 on my Sky+ waiting to be watched, I just need to find the time! :)

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

The Following is truly great. I just hope it doesn't go downhill. I would actually take the time to not watch The Middle/Big Bang Theory/Criminal Minds to watch The Following

message 45: by Amy (new)

Amy Revenge, Parenthood, Deception, and Nashville.

message 46: by Carole (new)

Carole First TV priority would have to be most anything on Masterpiece Theater. Favorites have been Sherlock, The Hour, Downton Abbey, Doc Martin. Not too much that I watch on American but do like Parenthood (am already mourning the fact that it may not be re-newed) Modern Family and The Good Wife.

message 47: by MyPaperParadise (new)
