**Elle Casey Fan Club** discussion

I started "After The Fall - Book one of the Clash of the Otherworlds Series" today and so far it is everything I was hoping it would be. I am going to spend a very happy and relaxed weekend reading :)

I will probably have to take the phone of the hook at some stage ....... but you do what you have to do when you have all three books waiting impatiently to be read :)

So what are you reading?

I am reading Aces High. Editing it for publication next week!! I do my part, then Jason does his, then off to the proofreader and beta readers. :)

Ohhh, I wish I was reading something. But right now I'm running all three kids to basketball practices, trying to keep them focused on school work, and supporting my brother in his efforts to coach/lead his team to state. If I begin a book I know what happens. I have no self control when it comes to a good book.

I am getting set to dive into all my Elle Casey books once again, or for the first time in some cases (just saving pennies), so I can really chat about them with some 'authority' of sorts. LOL.
I can't wait. I am also dying for the next "Apocalypsis" novel to be released. YAY!

Im currently reading Project Ele which is a very good series too. As I found out here one of our own did the editing on 2 of the 4 books....Great job Cynthia.

I took about 10 minutes and read what you would allow us, Elle on Ace's High and am waiting for (paul harvey heavy pause) rest of the story...sorry is the reference is too old for most of you.. :) it takes some of the funny out of it

I am reading The Time Hunters and the Spear of Fate. This is the 3rd book in the series by my buddy Carl Ashmore. Really fun reads. :)

The Changelings


I started the first War of the Fae book late last night/this morning, and am on chapter 7. I have only stopped to watch the Oscars, although I would rather be reading.

I'm reading a book called the Game Changer. I'm about 74% through and it's painful - I need it to be over. I hear there is a sequel, but no way! I really wish I didn't have this weird compulsion to finish any book I start because I really want to be done with this one :(

I'm reading the Weather Witch. It's not too bad, but waiting (impatiently) for Haven! And the new series from Elle.

I finished the Portal Guardians last night - brilliant :) But what now ? Maybe I will do some work in the studio and wait for the Aces High release.

I've just finished rereading my Patricia Briggs's books, I love her. Now I'm reading A Discovery of Witches, but may shelf it to start Aces High!!!

But it's not a series. It's over on Wattpad and FREE for now. It's for older teens and adults.

I am on book 3 of the Ele series, but have downloaded Aces High and will read that first before finishing Ele :-)

I just started Aces High! :) As usual I was hooked on the first page. I don't know how you do it Elle! Looks like I might have to read all of Jason Brant's too. Ohhh goodness. My kids are not going to be happy. ;)

Currently reading Slivers of Thread, an epic fantasy by Leeland Artra. Will be posting a review and giveaway during my blog's Spring Fling Event. Then, into Aces High. Elle has graciously consented to do a review and giveaway with me as well. Not sure if this is to be that book or not. What say ye, Elle? ( My secret pirate talk)

Reading Aces High OF COARSE! ! AND it is getting crazy. Has anyone seen the movie dusk tell dawn?? Well let me tell you... One minute the movie is normal and about to brothers who are escaped convicts, and the trying to make it to Mexico. Then..Bam Huge Curve Ball! There are vampires killing everyone and all hell breaks loose. Well I thought this book was going to be about the characters playing cards... then I thought bounty hunting..Now BAM!! I feel a CURVE BALL FIXING TO HAPPEN!

A friend of mine told me that a friend of hers had written a book, so, always a supporter of indie authors, I downloaded "Ponged" by Ann Byrd. I'm not very far into it so I cannot say if it's a good read or not yet.

I have just finished Meltdown, book 2 of the Breakers series by Edward W Robertson. Elle mentioned it on Facebook, and it has been very good so far :) I am going to start book 3 now ............ then I am taking a break from reading for a few days.

All these books are starting to mesh together. Someone asked me yesterday how I enjoyed the ELE series which I had read last week, and I had to sit back and think what it was about, which was strange because I really enjoyed them. I have read 21 books in less than two months which is a record for me, but I now need to get some work done in the studio :)

I say Leeland is a cool dude! I haven't read his stuff yet but it's in my pile. :)

Currently reading Aces High, almost done. I lost my voice do to a sore throat, so you all could imagine how creepy it sounds when I laugh. This book makes me laugh a lot. Thank you Elle and Jason, and you're welcome.

Finished "Call To Arms" (War Of The Fae: Book 2) a few days ago, just got around to blogging it. LOL. Elle, How am I supposed to get back to the buddy read if you keep giving me cliff hangers! :D

Just discovered Elle Casey with the War of the Fae series. On book 3, about to start 4 tomorrow. There's just something about these books, reading them has been one of the best weeks of my life. I can't seem to recall any series making me laugh this much. It's just been a sheer joy so far and I cannot wait to read her other series.

On Book 3 of the "War of the Fae" series, love this one, it is so meaty, full of great action and so many twists and turns!

Darkness & Light

Just finished Book 4 in the "War of the Fae" series, New World Order and have already moved on to Book 1 of "Clash of the Otherworlds". YAY!

Hey Stephanie...I read Project Ele too and enjoyed that series. I am in the process of book 4, but stopped to read Aces High, then re-read the Apocalysis, then the Patroness of Paris...kinda got side tracked...when you get to four, Let me know and we can buddy read it together. You know that one of our own SLAP members did the editing on Project Ele's books 3 and 4.

Yeah I kinda remember that, remind me who it was!!! Sorry brain like a sieve. When I get to book 4 I'll let you know for sure. Just rereading my Kim Harrison books til payday!!!

I just read the first two books by Natalie Hertzer(a German living in Paris)--The Patroness of Paris...very good. A couple of typos and words translations errors, but very enjoyable. Her heroine kinda reminded me of a grown up Jayne!

I am reading Divergent at the moment and it is great. After that I will be reading the Paranormal Anthology with a Twist - really looking forward to that, and then Angelfall by Susan Ee. I need to plan my reading in advance or else I get lost :)

I just read the Stranded books (Land, Sea, and the novella City) by Theresa Shaver. The final book of that series should be out any time. They weren't too bad! Last night I finished Through the Ever Night (sequel to Under the Never Sky).

I just finished "Haven", well not 'just, but recently. And read my much anticipated J.R. Ward novel about the Black Dagger Brotherhood, "Lover At Last". I also read some great Sci-Fi "WOOL", and a really sad memoir called "Wave", so good. Just finished a Goodreads First-Reads win called, Mother: A Novel, not for me, but not every book can be everyone's cup-o-tea. Moving on to something new today, I have a stack of over 20 Books I have won through the Goodreads First Reads give-aways, enter them if you are interested, it is like getting gifts in the mail everyday, piles of books coming to me. I like to say the only thing better than a book is a FREE book. All my reviews are up in Goodreads and on my Blog - Fired Up Over Books.

I've been reading Splintered, by A.G. Howard.
Usually, if I love a book, I will burn through it in a couple days. I'm undecided with this one, so far, because it seems be taking me a while to get through it. It is another interesting take on modern-day Wonderland. Not totally original, but still a somewhat unique and interesting concept. The imagery is quirky and beautiful, if not weird, at times.
I will totally admit that I was sucked in by the cover and had high expectations, based on that, alone. So, why am I only a little over half-way through, after a week? It may be that I have a very short attention-span because my life is in chaos (in a good, but stressful way).
Please... Anybody who has read Splintered, please give me your take. I'm confused. LOL!

I am also reading a book at the moment based solely on the cover - I was so taken with it because it is so unusual - so far so good :)

Just finished Find You in the Dark by A. Meredith Walters. It's a very dark mature YA Romance book dealing with Mental Illness. The sequel: Light in the Shadows has a much better ending. Great books. Also a smaller novella called Cloud Walking that is a great companion to those two. Check them out, I can't recommend these books enough.

Does my link above to that book look like a link or a picture? I'm just wondering how do you'll get those little book pictures up there? Kinda like on Facebook, I can't tell if my own smilies look like stick smiles or pictures to other people lol. I'm so horrible at this.

Jamie, when you post a comment, on top the the comment box there is a 'add book/author' , if you click that and find the book, and then coose cover, that should do it. I am also still learning :-)

A great find, this author and her books don't have a huge following, but I have found this Trilogy wonderful!!!

On my Kindle I'm reading "The Space Between Us". In paperback I'm reading "The Forgotten Beasts of Elid".
Just finished " Buddah in the Attic", and "What Alice Forgot"...2 book groups plus other stuff keeps me from making cards for "Operation Write Home"!!!
