This thread is for introductions :) The author himself shall also write to this thread soon. About me:

I'm 28 years old, living in Helsinki, Finland. For the last year or so I've dedicated most of the waking hours of my life to the Fargoer book project, although I did stray away for a moment while traveling in China for two months.

I'm a geek of sorts, but still enjoy many non-geeky activities, such as martial arts and gym. I love traveling and am a proud member of the CouchSurfing community.

When it comes to books, I love Sci-Fi and Fantasy, but also books with strong historical elements. I've also read a lot of horror, and Stephen King's shorts are one of my favorites.

Petteri Hannila | 3 comments Greetings on my behalf as well.

I am Petteri, the author of Fargoer. I live in Central Finland with my wife and three year old son. My time is spent balancing with work, family, writing and aikido practice.

I have been reading from very early age and from the beginning I was fascinated with high adventures and stories set in exotic, futuristic (or past) worlds. For this, it was natural for me to start writing science fiction and fantasy. From very early on in my writing career I gravitated to Fargoer and it has been my main interest. This will continue far into the future, I think.

In Fargoer I was able to combine my love for exotic, past cultures, high adventures, unwritten history of the Finns as well as myths and legends. Nature has always been a source for inspiration for me and I think it can be easily seen from Fargoer.

Diane Taylor (goodreadscomdat_author) | 1 comments Circles in Time Hi, I am Diane Adams Taylor and I live in Bradenton, FL. I am the author of the book Circles in Time and I have just signed with a publisher for my next novel, The Healer of Wounded Souls.

Both book have a metaphysical theme as well as a moral lesson. I was a teacher, coordinator, director and then assistant superintendent of a school district in Ohio before I retired. I enjoy teaching and I believe my novels show that aspect.

Kitty Muse Book Reviews | 1 comments Hi all--I'm Kathy Ree, writing under the name of K.R. Morrison. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband and a large cat. Our kids are grown--my son is living in Brasil for a couple of years, studying for his Masters degree, and my daughter is an art major in-state. I have published one book, "Be Not Afraid", which is a paranormal suspense/horror/Christian hybrid, and I have two that are about to be e-pubbed--once my daughter and my cousin get the front covers done.

I review books and do editing online, and when I'm not glued to a computer, I like to work in the yard and go for long walks. Quilting is also a major hobby in my life.

message 5: by Dave (new)

Dave Edlund (dedlund) Hello everyone. My name is Dave and, like Kathy, I live in the Pacific Northwest corner of the US of A. My published books include fiction as well as science and engineering texts. The fiction genre I write to is action-thriller, largely based in Oregon where I reside, but I weave in a small amount of social commentary. The first two novels are "Unintended Consequences" and "The Devil of Darfur". Book number three is scheduled for release in July. Cheers!

Leeland Artra (lartra) Hello everyone, I'm a serious fantasy / sci-fi reader that has recently become an author. I live in the Seattle area of the USA (aka Pacific North West). I enjoy dogs and cats and have had both as pets most of my life. I have a fabulous family and enjoy spending time with them as much as possible.

I spent all of 2012 hammering out my first novel, Thread Slivers, which has recently been published. I am now working on the second book of the trilogy. One of the best things of becoming an indie author is that I met a lot of wonderful people, especially Petteri.

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

+ Leeland

Dawn LaBuy-Brockett (goodreadscomachromatic_apparel) | 3 comments Howdie, Finland! I'm McHenry, Illinois. I'm a music composer and playwright. I found books a more accessible way of getting work out there, but nothing's easy. Wishing you the best of luck with your book!

Richard Abbott (richard_abbott) | 2 comments Hi all, Richard Abbott here from London, England. I have written a historical fiction novel "In a Milk and Honeyed Land" (Late Bronze Age, middle east) but am here because I was captivated by Fargoer from reading the very first portion. Nice to see so many from the US Pacific North-west - I spent a year out there a long time ago and have happy memories of Seattle and area. "In a Milk and Honeyed Land" is quite serious and a bit geeky, but then so am I!

Birth

In the outer realm
Where my mind’s eye
Aligns with the cancer moon
I gaze into the twilight
Of the dawn of my own age
I look within my disparity with question
Through the eyes of a vulture
I seek for meaning
I hope the answers to my questions
Are the answers that I seek

1st Impression

I am a sad clown
I live with an internal frown
When people first look into my eyes All they see is an evil demise
Someone they can't take serious
To them my intelligence is oblivious
So I act the fool
Just to be cool
For if they only knew
Anything about me
They would see
That I am nothing what I appear to be
I am a gentle soul
Living in a hole
Awaiting the day that I can be let out
And greet the world with a shout
I am very humble
Please remove me from that label
That everyone thinks of me
Please give me a chance and get to know me
