Crazy for Young Adult Books discussion

Alexa and I are starting Boundless on March 12, 2013. It is the 3rd and last book in the Unearthly series by Cynthia Hand, if you would like to join us in this buddy read feel free to do so. :)

I'm reading Hallowed at the moment and its soooo good!! I have only a few chapters left and I'm well ready for Boundless on the 12th :)

Oh and what Team are you guys on?

For me it's Team Christian all the way!! I know most people love Tucker but I guess I don't get them butterflies in my stomach when I read anything about Tucker. I love Christian and cherish every moment that he is in each book!! Like since day one, when Clara fainted when she saw him, I've been rooting for him c:

I like Christian, but I am more of a Tucker fan.

*groans* I can't choose!! I liked Tucker first but then in Hallowed he was a jerk, but he was just being jeaslous, I want to give him another chance. And Christian was so nice, we didn't get to see much of him until the 2nd book, so can I just choose both. LOL :D

I understand where you're coming from Kathy!! Hallowed was really confusing (love triangle wise) for many because as you said we get to know Christian more (really liked that) + the big fight between them... and Tucker's "possessiveness" and jealousy put me off him too! like what the hell, just because she went skiing with Chris doesn't mean anything happened between them although....it was about to and I wish it did LOL!

I'm wondering where Jeffrey has gone :( I really hope this book gives a great end to the series with no loose knots!

I know what you mean, but I'm still leaning towards Tucker, I really enjoyed the last book, it ends things really nicely. Hope you guys enjoy it too!

Have you guys read Radiant (2.5)? I need to read it before Boundless so I was thinking a day or two before Boundless, so I'll probably just comment on it in this thread unless anyone else hasnt read it so we can make a buddy read thread for it? :)

how do we want to tackle this one???

I have an essay due tomorrow and a few other things I need to get done but we can simply start with 5 chapters and just come back to the thread and if anyone wants to read on then feel free to!

I had every intention of reading only 5 chapters a day, but once I started I could not put this down. I kept telling myself last night that after each chapter I would stop for the night and then something big would happen at the end of the chapter and I had to read the next to see what would happen next especially in the final chapters. This was a great ending to the series. I hope you all enjoy it and I look forward to discussing it.

I got a few chapters in but I'm confused at some parts........I'm so nervous I'm not going to like this (and I've loved the rest of the series!!!)

I haven't had any time to read anything lately, having my last test tomorrow and then I'm back on track with the reading.

So far I've read 4 chapters of this and OMG SEEE THAT'S WHY I PREFER CHRISTIAN. He is perfect!!! The first chapters, I swear I've just been smiling like a freak and laughing because I just adore everyone so much and I can't believe it's nearing the end.

What do you guys think of what (view spoiler)[Clara is doing with the glory? (hide spoiler)] I agree with Christian...too risky.

And that hawk?! I have a feeling it's a bird we're going to meet again later in the book..creepy.

But ah Christian, Christian and just Christian! LOL I'm swooning.

LOL no not silly, cause I worry the same way sometimes with series and stand alone books. I like for the books I read to end a certain way, with nobody dying and ending up with guy I like or at least don't hate. :D

I agree, the crow was who I was expecting it to be as well. I was surprised by Angela's story and who the father was (view spoiler)[I did not get around to reading Radiant so I was not familiar with who Phen was (hide spoiler)].

Okay, so I'm about 1/2 way, just stopped at chapter 11

and I can't lie - I need a break. jeez, heavy, sad depressing book.

Please tell me I won't be disappointed? At this rate, I'm scared to keep reading.....and I don't want to end this series mad that I kept going!

This one is more of an emotional roller coaster than the other 2 books but the final 4 chapters or so get really good they are pretty action packed and intense.

Ok I got my copy today...YAY!!!! So I will start it as soon as I'm done with the one I'm reading now and it shouldn't take long. Thanks :)

Trisha I agree so much. What is going on with this? I'm disappointed so far, the other two books started off better... I feel like this doesn't scream "read me" when I look at it on my nightstand lol. Indifference is what I'm feeling so far ugh :/

I totally agree Alexa. I keep carrying the book around with me everywhere but I just can't seem to crack it open. I'm going to do a little more goodreads browsing, read another book, and then I'll get back to this.
