I read the February read a while ago but it was still fresh in my mind. This was not a real enjoyable read. If you like you can check out my review at www.goodreads.com/review/show/136204345. Saw the movie as well.

The movie was ok. It was slightly better than the book. I just didn't really care for the leads; they had zero chemistry and I couldn't believe that they were in love. I thought Jeremy Irons and Viola Davis were really good in the movie. I was very surprised at Emma Thompson's performance; little over the top and a little cheesy. There was a reason that it left the theater quickly; it was so-so. The problem with so many of the movie studios they are looking for another "Twilight" franchise to make money. Anything now, that has a supernatural romance attached to it they are all over it. Twilight wasn't that great but it was better than this movie. I would wait for it to come out on Netflix or Redbox.
