Oh, boy...
I'm gonna have to swap out "favorite" for "reviews-I'm-not-ashamed-of." Hehe.
1. Um, my The Hunger Games review is kinda rant-y and long-winded, saying things that could be delivered in about half its length, but it's not bad.

I'd say it fleshes out my opinions fairly well, even if it uses more words than necessary to do so, and it provides an opinion a bit more interesting than most of the Katniss-strong-female-character bullshit. Some bits mock Collins' writing pretty horribly.
2. My review of Night:
http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
A little cheesy, but honest, and lays out what I liked about the book without being overly awkward.I hope.
3. My review of Shadow and Bone:
http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
I think I managed to address some of the common complaints about the book nicely enough, as well as acknowledging it flaws, then laying out what I liked about it.
btw, all of those are very nice reviews Jonathan!

I always like your reviews though Jocelyn, I really look forward to reading your opinions on the books you read. Every time you go and delete a review I go: oh, but that was such a good review!
Thanks Jonathan, same to you too.
Haha, that's good to know. But I think: "whew! That trash is forever flushed out of GR!" Hopefully you're more satisfied with the replacements than with the old ones. :P

1. The Name of the Rose: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Probably my best academic style of review I've done and it really captures (in my eyes) what I liked about the novel.
2. The Master and Margarita: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Similar to the above, a really nice concise academic review that expresses what I felt.
3. A Memory of Light: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Best expresses my views on an entire series of books I like!
4. The Name of the Wind: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
A lighthearted look at fantasy in general.
5. Saturday: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
Really captured the style of the book in a way that is different to the usual review and captures what I thought about the book.
6. Jonathan Livingstone Seagull: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
One of the few negative reviews I have written - I had fun poking fun at the ways people can look presumptuously at acclaimed books.
Now I want to read yours!!!
