Broken
When the tears had finished racking her body, Keira lay on her pitiful excuse for a bed and listened to the wind howling outside.
Little miss perfect daughter always getting what see wanted. Keria felt like yelling so loud that the hole world could hear.
((lol!!!!!!))Her heart thumped eratically when she thought of Jonas, the only person who seemed to understand her.
She would have to pretend that her parents were still there. How would she survive? How could she live?
At least she didn't have to worry about school expenses. She wondered how Jonas would react to her telling him all of this...
After gathering the essentials that she usually brought with her to Jonas' house she left. When she opened the door, she took a deep breath of air. With the strength that the air around her gave, Keira ran. She ran long and hard. She ran to Jonas.
"Hey," He said, " what is the matter with you? You like you ran over your best friend or something!"
She opened her mouth to say something but no words came out. She just took a step forward and into Jonas' embrace.
((I second the motion... proof-reading helps....))
Was he waiting for her? she asked herself, How would he know?

((WOW different... I love it....))
She couldn't think of anything to say. How could they have been married without their consent?
She couldn't think of anything to say. How could they have been married without their consent?
"I was looking through some old books, and I found a marriage certificate." He answered. "When I asked my mother about it, she told me the whole story."
((wait! is Jonas saying that he wants to make it publicly official?))" Then why did they leave me?" Keira wondered.
She had always had a "thing" for Jonas but married! That is not what she wanted for herself, not now.
"Can we wait a while to go public?" asked Keira. "I need a little time to let this sink in and get used to the idea first."
"Wel, well, um, I don't know that we should stay married." Jonas stammered," I mean you are only 15 and I'm only 16. I don't know that we should be public. I'm just saying I mean if you think it would be good then we can, but I'm just not so sure."
"So, our moms are really good friends, but they wanted to protect us from others, others of our kind." Jonas informed her.
This what not what she had been expecting. A million more questions came to mind, so she asked, "And what are 'our kind' exactly?"
" We are special, we have capabilities that not many others have. Our mothers knew we would be stronger together and that we had great potential, but they also believed that we might be too strong for our own good, so they kept our "specialties" a secret." Jonas explained.
Kiera gave Jonas a cold stare and turned her head. "Why didn't you tell me any of this before now?" inquired Kiera.
" I just found out today. Like five minutes ago. Our parents left together Kiera. My mom left this letter explaining everything. Here, you can read it." Jonas replied.
Kiera was hesitant wondering if this was some kind of sick joke, but her need to know won over her skepitcal self. She took the letter and began to read.
" Don't look at it that way. At least now we know whats going on and we know how to fix it. We can do anything we want, and get away with it." Jonas countered.
"But that still doesn't answer the main question of why they did this to us?" Kiera thought back to something Jonas had said earlier, "Wait, you said that they were protecting us from something. What did you mean by that?"
"Right, protecting us from others of 'our kind'" she said the words with contempt. "What does that mean? What kind of capabilites do we have and how have they kept something like this from us?"
"They created a potion that bound our powers. When the time was right they planned to release us, but something went wrong. They had to realease us early and then leave for safety." He paused, "I'm sorry you never knew, but your mother knew that your father would use your gifts for his own gain exposing you to those that would really hurt you. That is why she never told you."

"That is something that I don't understand myself. What I can guess from what my mom told me was that your father has not always been what he is today. Our mothers were the best of friends before they go married. Apparently, your parents were in love, but your grandparents, on both sides, didn't like the idea. Eventually, both sets of parents relented, but your father forever resented both sets of grandparents. That is why you never have met them."
"Basically. When I turn 18 next week, I gain control of all the assets our parents left us. Right now I basically have custody over you."
((yeah what do you mean?oh! i get it! why would you write something like that? that is just gross!))
((that is what I thought but I wanted to be sure before jumping to conclusions... are we right?))

She was left alone in her home with nothing but her amazingly understanding dog and what little bit of food her parents had left, or she had stolen.
