Strain (lindsey_strain) I will be reading Seraphina! It's a book about dragons, I think. :D

Wild by Cheryl Strayed is my next book adventure.

message 7: by Amy (new)

Amy Salisbury | 1 comments Lamb by Chris Moore is one of my all time favorites! Too funny! I'm reading "Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It reminds me of Chris Moore books. Enjoy! :-)

message 8: by Toni (new)

Toni Blessing I'm reading The Ice Queen by Alice Hoffman. It's very unusual and a little dark. Not sure what to think just yet - but it has made me afraid of lightning!

message 9: by Strain (new)

Strain (lindsey_strain) Finishes Seraphina! I thought it was a really fun book. It was about dragons but not in the traditional sense. I noticed there is a sequel, but it won't come out until 2014. I'm excite for it!

message 10: by Vivian (new)

Vivian (bookdivasreads) Just finished reading The House Girl by Tara Conklin...LOVED IT!

message 11: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Slogging through Dean Koontz's "A Big Little Life: A Memoir of a Joyful Dog" Picked it out because I like Koontz's fiction and I know how much Trixie meant to him. I'll finish it because I'm 60% through and dangit, I hate not finishing a book but he sure does get me irritated with how little he knows about raising a dog.

Brooke Lib WVReads150 (brookelibwvreads150) | 2 comments Teams from Brooke County Public Library have been reading a lot! Recently, there was an enthusiastic response to the "Love Hina" series of graphic novels. Brooke residents, it's not too late to form a team and join the fun...

message 19: by Toni (new)

Toni Blessing I just finished The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent. I liked it but not everyone in my book group did. It's a new look at the Salem witchcraft trials and pretty dark. The author is a direct descendent of Martha Carrier who was hanged as a witch.

Pam, did you like Spin? It's gotten some recent buzz.

Yes, I did. I've read both "Spin" and "Arranged," and I have "Forgotten" on my e-reader but haven't read it yet.
