The Twilight movie!
Here's what I thought was wrong with the movie
1. It seemed to angsty and forced.... in the book everything was more fluid
2. The sparkling was seriously disappointing
3. The way the truth came out was lame....
4. Jasper.... he looked constipated
5. The things that they added.... they just didn't fit... maybe that was why they weren't in the movie... hmmmm....

Yeah, I didn't like Jasper. Not the way I imagined him. Edward would never reference Google or spider monkeys so that didn't make sense. I didn't get why they couldn't have had Bella tell Edward what she knew in the car. What did you think of Carlisle? I thought he was even better than my imagination.

I thought that Carlisle wasn't terrible.... I actually liked him.... Emmett was well done and I loved him.... Alice wasn't bad....
They didn't really show any of the other Cullens' personalities. I wish they had shown Emmett's comical side. Actually I don't even remember him truly speaking.
Yeah, there should have been more about the other Cullens. I loved Carlisle - my goodness, I almost fainted when I saw him. The sparkling was seriously lame. And they ruined one of my favorite scenes - when Edward saves Bella from the guys in Port Angeles! That was horrible! He wasn't supposed to get out of the car. It was very, very cheesy! Plus the "Say it. Say it out loud." "Vampire!" sequence was insane!
The movie made me mad in some respects but I thought the casting was great...again what you said about Jasper...Edward was perfect - none of the characters had the sense of humor that they had in the book.

Except for Alice, I thought she was pretty darn good. And Rosalie was awesome. Not that I like her, but she was portrayed really well. Yeah, the forest schene was almost laughable. I really missed the meadow schene. That is one of my favorites! And then afterwards when Bella finds out he watches her sleep. "You did say my name." "How often?" "How much is often?" "Oh, no!" I love that part and was mad they didn't have it.

Her's another thing. They never have a real conversation: as in, Bella says something, Edward says something back, Bella says something back...there were awkward, meaning-soaked silences between each sentence somebody said. Did anyone else notice that?
You mean like the only light coversation they have is when Edward says, "He's not looking. Oh, wait. He just looked." But the awkward moments are funny.
Not when every conversation is awkward. In the book they actually talk back and forth, forth and back. You can believe their falling in love because they actually know things about the other person. It's not convincing in the movie.

I know, it's just funny sometimes. I do wish they had real conversations. Maybe in New Moon. Oh, what did you think of Jacob? I don't think he's hot or anything, but he does do a good job.

Jacob was good. He's not hot, which is perfect for being Jacob. I thought he did a great job, too.
How about James, Victoria, and Laurent?

James was very good looking in his evil, thirst driven, tracker way. I thought Victoria was good too. Laurent was supposed to be French! Not Jamacian!

James was good looking! And for all that Lauren't was still pretty good, I thought.
The Nomads were well done in my opinion, but did you notice that Victoria had the Irish shirt after they killed the guy who had it and James had stolen his jacket....
I can't watch the movie without laughing at all the serious parts.... That was probably the most disapointing thing about the movie... the humor was missing that was overflowing in the book... plus... Edward and Bella hardly ever kiss.... did that bother anyone but me....
I think Charlie was cast well and Emmett and Jacob.... but the others I am still undecided....

Actually, I did wish they had kissed more. But the bedroom one was pretty...you know. It was embarrassing with my dad there. I tried to pretend he wasn't there. Yeah, I did notice the jacket. But did you notice James' chest? Hot! I did miss the humor. Did anyone else notice whot Bella was wearing to bed? It was supposed to be holey sweats!

I heard that during one take.... Edward fell off the bed because he got so into it.... as if I couldn't get anymore jealous.... yeah, her pj attire was kinda lame... and I just didn't know how I felt about the Prom scene.... I really wanted to see Alice and Rosalie there and my favorite line about "massacre the unsuspecting townspeople" I was so sad that they didn't put that in there....
Were the other "wolves" susposed to have long hair when they go to the beach? I can't remember....

Yeah, the prom scene could have been better. The pre-knoweledge-of-vampires-weirdness-and -romance-with-Edward sequence could have been way better. Where did you hear that, Lara? That's really funny...
It was in an interview at Comicon.... its on the special features on the DVD.... I wish the "Meadow/vampire/I'm not scared" scene had been better too... i couldn't take it seriously.... I thought at least one of them was supposed to.... not that I object to the long hair... I thought it was hot.....

Some things wrong with the movie:
1) Sparkling vamps - I'm sorry it looked like he was having problems sweating - icky..
2) Taking out the side characters - who missed having Lauren? She was supposed to be there, and cause problems for Bella on her first day.
3) Renee - I never imagined Bella's mother to look like that, and ask Bella (over the phone), "Let's talk about boys, shall we?!"
4) Jacob's hair - I love Taylor Lautner as Jacob; however his "long" hair was so horrible.
5) Some of the lines were said in a monotone voice, I guess that could be improved in New Moon.
6) Making sure the vampires don't overly force their expressions.
7) Adding more scenes from the book - so we get the Cullens' personalities. And what about learning about the Cullen's past, and the Volturi? The Volturi weren't even mentioned! Major problemo!
Good things about the movie:
I loved all the casting in the movie, except Renee.
I thought it was nice they put some humor with Charlie. You needed that (in the movie) because they cut out many funny scenes from the book.
Awesome Baseball scene - loved it!
Speaking of that scene, I love Muse's song! The entire soundtrack was amazing.
I loved the Nomads, particularly Victoria. James was perfect for the tracker. Laurent was good too, even though he was a Jamaican. Hey, maybe he speaks French even though he is Jamaican.

I second the motion on all... I just hope they fix it in New Moon....

Majority rules! And motion passed! Ha. Sorry, always though being a judge would be cool. All rise for the honorable Judge Autumn in a wheelchair. No, I don't think I could look over the podium.
Anyway, did anyone notice how not-so-nice Phil sounded? He actually sounded like the original Phil that Step cut out. Didn't like Eric. Nothing against the actor, but I didn't picture him that way. And he wasn't chess club geek. Tyler worked I suppose. I mean, what more could you do? He wasn't major, so it wasn't a big deal. I wish I was Kristen...Sigh...

Phil had about one line in the whole movie. How did you get that? Although he did look awkward that way, I guess.
Renee was OK, but more annoying than in the book.

Haha... I have thought that too Autumn...
I had issues with Eric too.... and Tyler wasn't bad... the crash scene however was disapointing... Edward didn't stay and there was only stopping it with his hand... plus Tyler didn't look bad at all....
Renee was more annoying....
Okay so I was watching the movie the other day and I agree that the sparkles just make him look sweaty but have you ever noticed the sound effect the sparkling has..... it is ridiculous.....
So fun thing to do when watching the movie... watch it with the subtitles... it is really interesting to read what the characters actually say... I do that with a lot of movies and it always turns out to be very interesting.... Try it and let me know....

I actually use subtitles with almost every movie I watch. Being hearing impaired has it's advantages. It was funny seeing what the background characters say. Like in Biology. And Kristen says "my head" not "my hand." Good stuff.
I don't actually ahve the Twilight movie! I've seen half the commentary, but never with commentary.
When does she say my head not my hand?

Okay.
That was a pretty cool last scene, BTW. NOt how I imagined it at all, but cool mirror effects.

The mirrors was about the best thing... I had some issues with the ending... I think they spent too much time in the beginning and had to shorten the ending.... that is just me though....
Well, I always liked the beginning, so I was OK. But I did miss the Tyler/prom thing. Then again I missed a lot.

haha, who would have thought. Clara, I don't have the movie either.

The whole prom scene could have been better. They should have followed the book. Also, Lara and Autumn, I tend to watch movies with subtitles (not every time, but at least one time per movie).
No way me too... you just notice more...
If I could have one scene from the book be exactly the same in the movie it would be the prom scene....
Did anyone notice that they got the wrong Volvo???

Yeah, but did you notice in the Port Angeles scene the front lincense plate is Washington State and the back is Oregon? His other car has Washington State on both.
My scene to be exact? The day of the meadow. That whole day. Loved it!

Well you should have said so earlier. I can say that I saw the Legend of the Slapping Beaver. You discovered it, but I still saw it too. And I dicovered on my own the Columbia Bridge. I crossed it enough times to be like "Oh my! I have been there SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many times!"

Yes, same here. I was too tired to type out all those things, so I posted the link instead.
I agree. But who really, seriously, looks for random mistakes? It is interesting. And funny. But I really don't care as long as they don't make storyline and plot mistakes.

Agreed!
Also agreed! I don't care if you can see the vampire's breath. I do care if they leave out my favorite scenes...or make Dumbledore and Voldemort's wands do the connection thing...ugh...I mean, it's a movie.
1. They didn't talk about the other characters. I wish they had talked about the other Cullens more. You couldn't get a sense of their personalities.
2. Eric. Tyler. I don't think the actors chosen for them really worked. And Eric was supposed to be chess club nerd, not whatever he was in the movie.
3. Edward in the sun. I really didn't see anything different when he was in the sun. Of course I probably will now that I've had my eye surgery. But still, it wasn't dramatic.
