Discuss The Picture of Dorian Gray!

Jess (jesmy777) This has been on my list for years!

Allegra (allegrasw) I read this for school a few years ago... Wasn't too impressed tbh. I should pick it up again to see if that still applies ;)

Amy B (blackicebooks) | 51 comments It's been a couple of years since I read this book, but I really enjoyed it. I loved the heavy atmosphere of the whole story.

Christine | 4 comments Oh, I love this book. First read it senior year of high school and read it again after Sense & Sensibility to remove that Jane Austen taste (sorry, I strongly dislike Austen).

Nicole (angolmois) I haven't read this in a few years. I adore (most) of the novel, but Chapter 11 just put me to sleep. I believe I skipped part of it on my first read.

I will make it a goal to get through all of it on this read-through.

Kim (callmeserena) | 15 comments I actually read this last month and loved it. I love stories with Faustian themes and that confront the subject of destiny and so on so it was pretty much right up my street. Wilde's prose is of course flawless. I don't know what took me so long to read it, it's been on my reading list for years.

Is that the chapter where Dorian is reading a book? I loved the who book except for that one chapter.

Marie (fyeahmarie) | 125 comments So Dorian is apparently blonde but I will continue to picture Ben Barnes anyway. This is my first time reading Oscar Wilde and his prose is perfect.

Jess (jesmy777) All done! I really loved it. And I knocked another book off my currently reading shelf that's been there for too long.
