I find it annoying when a book is so thick with description in parts that require none, but then in parts where you would like more description you find it lacking... Drives me insane sifting through needless information.
Agree with that, I just find myself skimming when that happens and then I miss something and end up having to go back a few pages to figure it out. Annoying!I see there is a trend lately to put a quote or a song at the start of a chapter. I start off liking this but get bored of it during the book especially if the reference is something I'm not familiar with.

Books that insult your intelligence are by far the most annoying!Next would be the "over the top words you don't know every SINGLE sentence" author. Don't get me wrong, I like learning new words, it's one of the best things about reading, but if in every damn sentence you choose to bewilder your reader, you are pompous scum. I HATE THAT.

I agree, so don't ever read anything by Will Self! I made that mistake once....
I agree with all of you. I think the thing I hate the most is when two main characters hate each other one chapter then the very next they are making out with each other. . .the crap drives me up the wall, one of the reasons I gave up reading YA. That and the maturity level writers give their youngins. . .I surely don't remember swooning at every hot guy when I was sixteen, or stomping my foot when I didn't get my way and then doing something really stupid because of it. I had a job and was saving up for a car and the only stupid things I did where with my friends to get laughs not possibly killed. I feel like it gives a bad name to all those 16-18 year old girls out there.
I hate when the author keeps on hinting of something going on but never comes out and says it. Then when the book is done your like, "What the hell happened!?"
I don't hate twilight but i really want to strangle bella and next time i read a book and there is s character like i will immediately shut it because of bella, twilight is stil a good book a though and im not dissing it
