I could do it, but I didn't read the original question as setting us up for two months — merely picking between two Jules Verne. That said, these two couldn't be more different. There are no long lists of sea creatures in this one and the action keeps moving. I always love this book so am in if the rest of you want to. If we develop any kind of consensus, I'll put up a schedule.
I didn't read it as setting us up for 2 months either, I just thought since it was the other toss up. I didn't know they were the same author for both books. OH.
Is there another book you'd like to try?

I'm game to whatever the selection is and am enjoying reading books that I somehow chose to skip at other points in my life. That being said, by now, it's a given with the homework associated with the subjects that I teach, I've been lousy at the discussion parts. Maybe if I wasn't on RAOK so much....nay... PS>waiting a couple of weeks would be great. My personally assigned Spring Break reading list is topped with LOTR, another never read and I'm just feeling that will be fairly involved (have also graciously been given some reference point materials by RAOKers to help me with this undertaking ;)
Scratch that. For me I will have to wait until the 1st. I have maxed out my book budget for the month. Considering how long my TBR list is, I put a limit on how much I can spend on new books until my TBR list is smaller. I just counted, I have 200 books on my list. Some of them have been on there for years. These are books I currently own. So if the rest of you want to start sooner, go ahead. I will catch up on the 1st :D

I've never heard of Around the World being abbreviated, but I suppose a little research would answer that
I have a beautiful copy that I was given for my birthday last year that costs $1.99. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000...
