What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I'm trying to recall a book that I read when I was younger about three children I think all of different social backgrounds that have magical stones? I'm trying to remember the story line but can't really recall it. The cover of the book was reddish and had a green stone on it and it may have had a sequel. I kinda got the feeling that one of the man characters a boy had something to do with a temple.

Also I think there different color stones as well and the cover may have had a bronze circle for the stone to sit on or something. The story may have been set in an asian or old world type of setting cause there were robes.

No, not circle of magic. I have read them though. Three main characters two boys and one girl.

Could it have been Over Sea, Under Stone? I'm reading it at the moment. There are two boys and a girl, but all from the same family, so not of different social backgrounds. I understand it's based on Arthurian legend.
