I'm nearly finished and enjoying it immensely -including the delightful illustrations in my Persephone Press edition.
My copy of Miss Pettigrew is in storage right now, so I'm listening to the Persephone audiobook read by Frances McDormand...highly recommended!
Didn't know about Persephone audiobooks! I just love their print copies and those wonderful end papers and bookmarks. Miss Pettigrew was a charming diversion for me -- as I recover from my second knee replacement surgery.
I thought the illustrations were lovely. Sorry about your knee, Trisha. I've started collecting Persephones recently. I love them.
Is anyone else closer to finishing this book? I think the important question is...how many drinks did Miss Pettigrew have over the course of the day? :)
I loved this! Especially the way that Miss Pettigrew goes from strong and forceful to doubting herself so quickly (sometimes helped by the drinks as Gina says!)
Loved this post about Miss Pettigrew on the Persephone Forum! http://www.persephonebooks.co.uk/pers...
