right with you......You should try watching the british movie The Descent

For me they were closer to the creatures in I Am Legend, just a lot beefier and green. But maybe that was because I'd read I am Legend and Other Stories just a few weeks before starting The Passage (not that there are a whole lot of similarities between Matheson's book and the Will Smith movie, but still). In fact, I thought there were a lot of interesting parallels between the two books. It almost felt like Cronin was writing a modern update of the earlier vampire story.

I didn't get the that virals had wings at all (but I could have missed it:) ), is it explicitly said that they have wings?

They can't be to out there because people are still able to recognise them, like when they recognised Maus' husband who's name escapes me now.

And I can't remember them being described with wings in the books anywhere? Were they?

Then, the other night I was watching TV and I Am Legend with Will Smith came on. The Zombies/monsters or whatever you want to call them in this movie, look almost how I imagined the Virals to look, except that they didn't glow green.
Does anyone else think the same?
