Lloyd 2012 discussion

The painted bird is about a gypsy boy whose house had burned down killing his family. Now he is trying to escape Nazi Germany and in the process staying with a bunch of violent and mentally insane people on his journey. The boy undergoes a lot of trauma, fear, and pain along his journey as well.
