Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Eon has been studying the ancient art of Dragon Magic for four years, hoping he'll be able to apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune. But he also has a dark secret. He is actually Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl who has been living a dangerous lie for the chance to become a Dragon-eye, the human link to an energy dragon's power. It is forbidden for females to practice the Dragon Magic and, if discovered, Eon faces a terrible death. After a dazzling sword ceremony, Eon's affinity with the twelve dragons catapults him into the treacherous world of the Imperial court, where he makes a powerful enemy, Lord Ido. As tension builds and Eon's desperate lie comes to light, readers won't be able to stop turning the pages...

My first impression: This girl has gutts. I can't wait to read this! Eona sounds like such a heroine!

Kate (kaitlins16) I love this book. I will try to read it again this month because I've been meaning to. This series just clicked for me, and its one of my favorites.

Last year, I saw this book in my school library, and thought oh, I'll give it a try. It totally blew me away, and I immediately ordered its sequel (because, sadly, it wasn't in the library yet) and read it once it was delivered. I love that one too.

I'm am looking forward to reading it again. :)

Kate (kaitlins16) Starting Eon tonight. :)

Trip (shardsofromance) Finished reading Eon a couple of days ago and it was great, I'm planning to read the sequel soon and hopefully it will be just as good.

Well my favourite character is probably Lady Dela or Ryko I think that's how its said although I love all of the characters for some reason or other :)

I'm more a fan of Eon then Eona though which is why I'm slightly wary for the next book since Eon won't be there and it shall be different, im looking forward to the supposed romance though.

If you have no idea what I meant by above then well basically I mean I like the boy side more then the girl, ok I can't explain but hopefully if you've read the book you will know what I mean and the difference between them.

Kate (kaitlins16) There is a big difference between Eon and Eona. I like Eona better, though she does have her faults. When she was pretending to be Eon, she was was lying to everyone else as well as to herself about who she really was. When she embraces her Eona side, she becomes a whole lot more confident in herself and a little less confused.

I think that's one of the whole points of the book: accepting your true identity.

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments I just finish Eon. And I have to say a tiny part of me is disappointed. I envisioned Eon/Eona quite differently that who she actually was/is. I guess I expected her to be in controll, a bit of a rebel kinda person.

I felt it was really obvious that she was going in the complete opposite direction of where she actually wanted to go. It was frustrating seeing her struggle. She had so much weight on her shoulders - a horrible past, a perilous present and who knows what in the future?Props to Ms. Goodman for the amazing story telling though. I like the world that she created, every detail kinda fit neatly together like a jigsaw puzzle.

I feel that I will maybe like Eona more. Still Eon is a worthy read.
