Sara | 1500 comments Tell funny ways, places, etc. on how or where you could read a book. Maybe it is somewhere you have hid to read in peace, or a place you like to go. Get creative:)

Rachmi | 175 comments I don't drive so I have to take buses every time I go and as you can guess I read when I'm on a bus. The thing is when I read I can forget everything. It makes me miss my bus stop so I have to take detour or take another bus a couple times. And it happen often, when I want to meet my friends who know this 'habit' they used to call me to remind me that I have to pay attention to the street :)

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) | 155 comments lol, I read all the time, specially in very boring classes. so once my science teacher was droning on and I started to read a historical romance (forgot the name, sorry). The scene was very steamy and funny. My teacher noticed me reading and stared at me like for about a minute, but I didn't notice!! when everybody stopped and stared at me, I looked up!! It was so very funny and embarrassing!! :P

Sara | 1500 comments I think a lot of us mothers can relate to this one: hiding in the bathroom to have a moment to read in peace:)

Kate Winchester (katewhitetigerlover) | 16 comments ha ha... that's a good one.
i like reading outside, because it sort of makes the story more realistic to be out in nature, where the story takes place sometimes... the birds, and breezes, and sun.

Me too:) 2 summers ago I sat on my front porch reading all the time. Not sure how I was able to because last summer every time I tried someone would want something from me.

Before I moved closer to my job, that happened to me all the time. I tend to ignore everything else when I'm reading. XD

Now I walk to work, so I can't read on my commute anymore.

My absolute favorite place to read is in a library, or a book store. I love the feeling of being surrounded by all of those books. It makes me feel safe and warm.

Ritu (ritu_r) | 13 comments Reading in the basement with the novel hidden within a school book since my mom gets really mad when i read novels during exam times:D

Once I've stumbled a rock, fall and my face kissed the ground because I read while I walked :D

Beatrice (beatricemasalunga) I read on the bus, there's this one time I wasn't able to get off on my destination and I have to go back. (good thing it's only a short trip.)

I once ran into a pole while I was reading. Bibliophiles - we're such observant people while we read.

Another way to read a book - curled up in a warm blanket in the wintertime, with a hot cup of coffee or tea sitting nearby. Seasonal, maybe, but very comfortable! :)

...and now I want tea. *wanders off*

Sounds great Maki, though my country didn't have wintertime, I used to do it when heavy rain with a hot cup of chocolate since I can't drink coffee. Heaven.... :)

Where I live now, we don't have much of a winter, either. It almost never drops below 60 degrees F. I've lived in places that got snow, though, and it's a really nice way to read a book. It works well with rain, too. I love reading and listening to the sound of rain pattering on the roof. :)

message 16: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 175 comments Agree, reading and listening to the sound of rain is a great combination.

I also love reading in the bathroom. I can't count how many books drown because I'm kind of sloppy but thank goodness it doesn't happen (yet) to my eReader :D

Saru (Queen of Bookland) (sarulovesbooks) When I was in Elementary school, I would hide my book inside a desk and look down and read. My teachers knew but they never said anything :)

LOl! Too funny! I read in the bathroom because sometimes it is the only place I can get some alone time.

message 19: by Alley (new)

Alley Kat (alleykat666) My favorite time to read is when I'm not supposed to! When I was in sixth grade I would always hide my book under my desk and look down as if I was taking notes. I always read while we're watching movies in class.

RIGHT??? Me too!

message 21: by Casey (new)

Casey Anderson | 66 comments I always love to read outside. In college I would walk to the city park, lay in the grass with the sun on my skin, wind through my hair, listening to the boats on the river and kids playing in the fountain.
When I heard the drug deals instead I knew it was time to pack up and go home. I never noticed it getting dark. But I always picked up on the voice of the dealer that hung out there.

That sounds like a scary neighborhood! But the sounds in the beginning sound nice:)

Sara | 1500 comments Last summer I tried to play more with my kids. We got a basketball hoop so I would get them to play that with me. I also bought a bike last year and love it! I had not ridden a bike since I was about 13 or 14 so it had been over 15 years.
