Who was your favourite character in the books and the films?! There are so many to choose out of! :D

Just a bit less than halfway through the first book and I like Gandalf, as always.
>.< Urgh, keep reading Cal! Pippin is better than Gandalf >:D And Bilbo is the best character in the world :)
I love Bilbo. And I haven't met Pippin yet. >.<
Not sure.
I'm less than halfway.
I'm less than halfway.
D: Bilbo's losing. I'd vote either Bilbo or Ironman.
I voted for Bilbo, don't worry. :)
I honestly can't choose! I've read all three books, but... I can't choose. My favourite 'species' so to speak are the Elves, then Hobbits, then Dwarves.
Oh, I must add a thread for that, Ciara! Of course you love Bilbo the best, you just don't know it ;)Lol Aragorn is excellent, too.
Bilbo and Sam and Gollum. But I love the combination of Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas.
I'M TORN.
I need stitches.

Wait Wait Wait.
He's Orlando Bloom.
He's Orlando Bloom.

Yes, he's Orlando bloom:
I guess. He just looks very different with out short brown hair! I kept trying to figure out who he was. Then again, I never recognize Orlando Bloom-not even in Pirates of the Carribean.

Faramir, but I like Aragorn and Frodo too. I also love Pippin and Sam.Hard to pick, but Faramir wins.
Oh - and I forgot Gollum/Smeagol *-* :)Bilbo. Then Gollum. Then Pippin. Or maybe Pippin then Gollum ... D: I don't know!
Victoria wrote: "How can you pick ONE!?! If I were too choose, it would be either Sam or Gandalf."I succeeded!
Moises wrote: "I like the deeple missunderstud Smeagol"Yes, yes, "Nice Smeagol" :D Smeagol is a brilliant character :)
One does not simply choose a favourite character...Bilbo is just my little precious little thing and then there are Merry and Pippin who I adore and I think I might just end up naming all of them if I don't stop now.
but FARAMIRRRRRRRRRRR (I get very emotional over him and Eowyn because ahshdshshdgdjd)
and then Pippin names his son Faramir and I basically just spontaneously combust.

Bilbo! :D
Sam and Gollum are my two favorites, which is a bit ironic because they hate each other's guts.
Good ol' Tolkien, they're all so well developed! But I love Sam for being the better sort of hero, and Gandalf just for general all-around coolness, and Aragorn for being so wonderfully complex even the author wasn't sure who he'd turn out to be, and Faramir for being an all-around good egg, and Legolas for befriending Gimli and vice versa, and Eowyn for being a girl who can chop the head off the lead Nazgul (let's not forget that!) and Merry for helping...

@Cat ikr. I love them both :3 But if I had to choose, I love Gollum better. Every time I watch The Two Towers I have hysterics at Gollum's parts ... I can't help it!! He's so cute! :D
I have officially finished the series, and I really cannot choose my favorite character. I really like Merry as far as Hobbit goes, but then I saw more of Frodo in The Scouring of the Shire, so then I liked him a lot more, but I have to say that Sam is a recurring favorite for Hobbits. Aragorn, Galadriel, and Gandalf are all tied for the coolness factor, although Gandalf is probably a bit higher on the list. I love Gimli and Legolas together, the way they are uniting the elves and the dwarves, and then you add in Gollum, who part of me wishes had been redeemed in a way but the other part realizes it is better the way it was.
I. Cannot. Decide.

Congratulations on finishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D! :D! :D! :D!!
How did you like the Scouring of the Shire? (: I was so not expecting that whole twist when I read the Return o.o
And I know, right??!! They're all so amazing. If I didn't love Bilbo so much, I'd be stuck :P. But other than Bilbo ('cause he's not really a LOTR character anyway; he has his own book :P), I can't decide at all.
I love Frodo, & Pippin, & Sam ... Frodo's awesome, & Pippin's funny, & Sam's brilliant ... Gandalf is just Gandalf, & Aragorn is epic ... D:! They're all so brilliant :')
Oh! And Gollum :D Gollum is creepily hilarious & cute ... ... ...
I don't think it's possible to decide :/
Thanks! I haven't finished reading the Appendix yet - it is the size of half the Hobbit! Good grief.
I wasn't expecting that at all! I thought it would just be this lovely homecoming, but no, it went all crazy with Saruman and stuff.
I think so.
