Kamanda007 Empire is a very interesting book. It has a lot to offer and it has a very interesting plot. It offers a scenario in which the U.S.A which is referred to as an “empire in the story crumbles just like the Roman Empire which fell after years of world domination. The author’s purpose of writing this book is to give a scenario of what will happen when the U.S which is an empire crumbles like the Roman Empire did. Citizens taking to the streets rebelling, the government collapses and militias fighting against the government are just some of what will happen in that scenario. This book is interesting and at the same time it is very thrilling with the turn of every page.
This book will definitely have a big impact on the reader. “America is going to fall, just like Rome” (Empire,7) has a huge impact on the reader because it forces you to really compare the United states to Rome. The main question I found myself asking was what if this really happened?. It definitely has a lasting value because it might actually be how this type of scenario might happen or maybe something close to it or it might not happen at all. It also leaves you wondering if the United States is really an empire. This book is very well written and the reader can be able to understand what’s happening in the story.
The book was very captivating and it made me want to know more about this scenario that it was based around. It was definitely thought provoking and a bit controversial subject. I was hooked to the book. The characters were very well grounded and were very interesting too. They all had their strengths and weaknesses and showed emotions. “On 24, Jack could find a helicopter he could commandeer” is an example of how interesting the dialogue is. The dialogue was very fluid and it had a few funny jokes now and then.
This book is strong in some many areas. It is very thrilling, action packed and very dialogue filled. The grammar was good and the book was without errors. The greatest strength of the book is definitely its ability to draw the reader back to it every time. I found myself stuck to the book most of the time. It has a few let downs but that doesn’t take away from how good the book actually is. This book is very interesting and full of surprises.
I would definitely recommend this book to a friend. It is very thrilling and thought provoking. It can also force you to think about its controversial message it sends across. I would give it 8.2 stars out of 10. I love books that are thrilling and very exciting. This is a book for people who are very interested in thrillers. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
