I think in a sense, it was a strangely peaceful ending. It stuck to reality. Not everyone gets better, but It shows how people really need ALL the support they can get. I mistakenly read it in the mist of a hollowing depression I had battled since I was very young. It seems like it would be bad, but it really hit me full on and helped me. I think the ending is great the way it is.

I soo agree with you :)"
Same here.

I agree with you! For me the ending answered a lot of questions that I had after reading Perfect and ultimately put my mind at pea..."
Thanks for posting your opinion! I'm actually really looking forward to reading perfect. Ellen Hopkins is my favorite, and this was my second time reading Impulse (so I could read perfect) and I liked it even better the second time!

Although (as heartless as it sounds,) I'm happy for Connor. He didn't really have much to return to, and with his ever-controlling mother, what else is he expected to do?
I agree with Tony, nonetheless... He should have stuck around. Proved 'em wrong.

Ha! Same here. If only there could be like a mini epilogue type of thing. I'd like to think they definitely got together and were able to go into adulthood rather happily. Their relationships with their fathers seemed to have gotten better, and as for Vanessa's mom, she seems to be more okay with this. I don't think there was any "healing" for her mom, but Vanessa just grew to accept it and maybe had gotten better with her Bipolar Disorder after Tony and her got together.
At least, this is just what I like telling myself. lol
