What are some thoughts from everyone about how Iron Knight ended? Can anyone explain the final scene with Grimalkin? I do but don't think I understand it. My view is that Ariella was sort of the shadow that hung over everyone's shoulders for all those years, and it was her final sacrifice that made life come back to everything...Puck, Ash,...the grove...

This was such a roller coaster for me. I found the ending kind of confusing and frustrating. I felt really bad for Puck. HE WAS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER AND HE DESERVED SOMEONE AS SPECIAL AS HIM! Over all it was a good series but very conflicting.
The trend going on seems to be one girl between two guys and the "Longtime friend" loses out to Mr. Brooding heart melt. I don't think it works like that in real life. At least, it never did for me when I was a teenager. I think Grimalkin had sort of a more "personal" relationship with Ariella. Maybe he knew her for a very long time and they became friends and I think her time alone in the grove...I do not know. She knew the end was coming, that was obvious, and she knew how it was going to get. I think she was brave though. She gave up her life to see the man she had always loved go be with someone else, but it was not just between the two of them but it was a sacrifice she made to keep te whole Nevernever alive. The cat talking to a tree really got me...I am still trying to wrap my head around that one.
