I found Finnick to be one of the most interesting characters of The Hunger Games. I would actually like to see a side story from Suzanne Collins on Finnick, his experience with the Hunger Games, and how the love story between he and Annie evolved. I hope Suzanne is reading this!!!
Atticus Finch is my favorite character. He showed incredible courage in his everyday life, and still had time to talk to his children.
Dimitri from Vampire Academies, Leo Valdez from the Heroes of Olympus, and Riatha from Eye of the Hunters.
I think it's easy to have that archetypal hero/heroine main character -- we all love to read about strong characters like Percy or Katniss. But I think writers who can make very ordinary kinds of people do extraordinary things are genius -- like Junior in Part-time Indian, and Leisel in The Book Thief.

I really enjoyed Liesel, and the Book Thief. I kinda wish there would have been a little more info about Liesel's life post-war, but that was a wonderful book.
Love the narration, very unique.
I gotta say it though, when it comes to favorite characters: Harry Potter

I love Rose from Vampire Academy! She's so strong and I love how she breaks the rules. I never break the rules I'm a good girl lol.

My favorite character in The Great Gatsby is Nick, the person who finds the words.
I really find myself drawn to strong female characters. Not just scrappy, or feisty, but truly well-rounded strong women... like Riatha from Eye of the Hunter, or Fury from The Hunters. Not that these women don't have flaws, because everyone has them.... but they aren't stereotypical. Like the tiny feisty girl who finds herself in trouble because her bark is often worse than her bite, or the "I want to be strong" victim who throws herself into danger to protect those she loves, even though everyone knows that everyone would've been better off if she had just left it to someone else.I'm tired of female characters who act like they've got something to prove. I love those who prove that there are amazing and awesome women out there.
I think mine would have to be Annabeth, Hazel and Piper from the Percy Jackson series. These characters showed strength through each other and past experiences to their advantage.
I like strong female characters to. I'm not a fine of whiny girls who wont stick up for themselves. Tessa McClean from Something Witchy This Way Comes is one of my favorite female characters. I really love Rose Hathaway from Vampire Academy as well.
BJ from the criminally underread "The Magic and The Healing" has always been one of my favorite characters. Granny Weatherwax from the Discworld series. And let's not forget the characters who aren't heroes: Jane Austen has a fabulous collection of characterswho are silly (Mr. Wodehouse), irritating (Mrs. Norris), or self-centered (Mary Musgrove) and without whom the books would low half their charm.
