Sebastian sat in a dusty corner of the library, his rather muddy combat boots flung up onto one of the mahogany tables. In his right hand resided a novel regarding werewolves and their lore, and in his left was a Capri Sun. It was a charming image, seeing a 16 year-old boy sipping in a rather professional out of a juice box.
With the book, Sebastian had decided that since he was attending a school filled with other supernatural entities besides himself, he should read up on them. Just to make sure non of them were demon-hating killers like angels.
With the book, Sebastian had decided that since he was attending a school filled with other supernatural entities besides himself, he should read up on them. Just to make sure non of them were demon-hating killers like angels.
After he got around 20 pages in, Sebastian's face began to harden, and his thick bronze brows furrowed together in concentration. He knew the majority of the school was composed of werewolves, and he now decided he liked them very much. But not in the way he liked shape-shifters. Werewolves seemed to be extremely harmless thus far to him, and Sebastian had officially labeled them as cutie-pies. The only form of werewolf he liked in the sense that they were badass would be the more mutant-like ones. Their werewolf form was usually revolting, sometimes even hairless, and much larger than a real wolf. They seemed to never be in control of their bodies, and they only shifted during full-moons.
A small smile crept onto Sebastian's face. The werewolves at this school seemed to be able to switch forms whenever they wanted to, and be in complete control of themselves. Lame.
After finishing the book, he slammed it shut rather loudly. He picked out another one by the same researcher. Shape-Shifters and The Dangers of Them, it was called. He tucked it into his satchel. Like it was mentioned, Sebastian loved shape-shifters. Increasingly similar to demons, too. Not the stupid silly ones that could transform into animals, what use is that? No, these shape-shifters could take on the form of any human they wanted too, and the really good ones could do it without even needing to see the person or touch them.

She opened her novel – a book she randomly went to a shelf and randomly chosen, without even looking at the blurb – and began reading.
Even though she was a Banshee, she loved the silence.

She tried her very best not to throw up.
Instead, she plopped the book on the table and took to wrapping a spare stand of white hair that somehow escaped from underneath her scarf. Her eyes drifted to the serious lad at her side. She let out a silent sigh. He was so concentrated on his book, that he didn’t even notice that a Banshee was sitting next to him. Sabine wondered how he’d react to her when he finally recognizes her.
So far, every time she sat next to a guy, they’d instantly change seats. It was a bit hurtful. Back in Ireland, she could freely sit next to a guy without fear of them running away – because they didn’t know what she was. But here, everyone knew what she was, and what she could do. It’s time like these when Sabine wanted to lie on the floor and pout. Or cry. Or die. Whichever came first.
Sabine unravelled the strand from her figure, grabbed the horrible book, and went to the nearest shelf titled THRILLERS. This time, she was sure she wouldn’t read sick-worthy, insta-love-filled romances. But just to be sure, she’d read the blurb.
Sebastian had looked up at the girl who sat next to him, his blue eyes curious before they fell back onto his page. He tossed his juicebox into the trash-bin without looking up, and it landed in with perfection. He felt at home in this place. Not just the library, but the entire school. No hunters trying to kill him, and no angels stalking him like prey. well, except one....
He turned the page, smiling at a very detailed picture of one of the more powerful werewolves ripping out the intestines of a human.

She quickly glanced at the book he was reading. The illustration showed a werewolf clawing at a poor human’s stomach, intestines spilling out of the body. He was smiling down upon it. A nice, lope-sided smile.
She cringed. Oh he was doing so well! Sabine wanted to crumple to the floor dramatically and shout in an even more dramatic way, with her head high and arms over her head. “NOOOOOOOO!!!” she would cry, “HE HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL!”
Suddenly, something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Sabine looked over at a girl sitting at the table. She had her eyes closed. Her brows were knitted together, her facial expression was contorted in obvious pain. Once, again, Sabine got up, but leaving her novel on the seat, and walked over to the girl. She carefully placed a hand on her shoulder. “Excuse me,” she began, her Irish accent thick but her voice quite, “but are you all right?”

The girl was obviously smiling through the pain; Sabine could see it in her deep blue eyes.

Sebastian yawned, slamming the book shut with gusto before shoving the shape-shifter textbook into his book bag. He stood up from the chair and began to walk out of the library, but stood frozen when a horrifically familiar figure strolled in.
Sam shot him an icy cold look as he strode towards Sebastian. The demon was about to sprint out of the room, but Sam grabbed his arm before he could leave. He did it in a rather casual way too, and his angel blade appeared in his hand, inches from Sebastian's side.
"Do not think I will not kill you because of this situation. Once I get clear orders, count yourself dead. I won't even send you back to hell; Be sure to expect the most painful death."
Sebastian glared at him before ripping his arm out of the angel's grasp defiantly. He sneered lightly before making his way out of the library, sending Samael another glare before vanishing around the bend.
Samael himself tucked the blade away, and with a flap of invisible wings, he was gone.

Sabine looked around to see if the cute one and the girl would come over and help, but it seems they were gone. They were alone.
Not knowing quite what to do, she asked in a rapid pace, “Do you have any medicine? Any pain-relief? I have a bottle of Nurofen in my bag, should I go get it for you? Out of ten - zero being no pain at all, and ten being the worse you've ever felt - how much does your head hurt?”
Sebastian walked in again, raising an eyebrow at the scene unfolding in front of him. He elected to ignore it, settling down in his original seat, getting in the same position and whipping out another Capri Sun. He opened his notes to the angel section, tracing over a banishment sigil as he sipped his juice in a classy manner.
There were two levels to the beautiful library. The golden decor caught her eye immediately, as it would do any dragon. She bit her lip as she stepped on the lower level, eyeing the shelf. It was only the decision to see what she would read first. Know the enemy. Instantly, she found herself in the Creature's Asle, her eyes scanning every spine of each book. Daemons or Hunters. Which first would show?
The young demon received a slight headache of his own, and sighed. The freaking demon had read his mind. He normally didn't keep up barriers in his brain, usually because he was never around large areas filled with so many supernatural beings. At that moment he concentrated, setting up a wall of sorts outlaying his mind. He would just have to not break it for awhile. At least until he got out of this hell-hole.
Now that she knew what sort of a supernatural she was, Askeli stormed in, dropping her book off. Her eyes blazed-literally. She walked to the demon section, which was filled with scary-looking, tattered volumes, sometimes bound with gold clasps. "C....c...crossroads. Here!" She grabbed a huge, leather bound book with fancy silver etchings. She walked over to the nearest table and plopped down with her book.
Skyra's ears were keen for any sound. It was deserted as far as her ears could tell. Not one being made a sound. She tried to keep to the shadows the massive book cases cast, not liking that she was in full view of the second level balcony. She fingered her dragon gem, clutching her dragon pendent, now a calm blue.
Askeli got madder and madder as she read. Somehow, she knew she wasn't this type of demon. She stormed over to the demon section again, face-to-face with Skyra.
Skyra had heard her footsteps last minute and was still calm as she took a step back. "You again? You're fast," she observed aloud. It wasn't that she was impressed, her dragon kin were as fast. Faster even. Skyra had kept her voice low, not wanting her voice to be heard by any other being.
Samael leaned over the railings, completely invisible. His eyes lingered on various people, his lips in a rigid line. He also watched his dear friend Sebastian out of the corners of his eyes. He hated that stupid demon. Not to mention he couldn't touch him until his higher-ups gave commands. So what if he wasn't a part of the garrison? If there's a demon, you should kill it. If there's anything dangerous, you should kill it. He hated this place, and the sooner it was exterminated, the safer the humans would be.
Yet it was clear, Skyra wasn't a threat, not to anyone who didn't provoke her. She had watched the humans from afar, understanding their innocence and fears. No she wasn't a threat to humans, it was the other Supernaturals who needed to watch themselves with her.

Askeli replied, "Yeah, well, that idiot from the hall apparently thinks I'm a stupid crossroads demon! And I guess demons have enhanced...um...strnegth and stamina, and I'm guessing speed."

"I'm agreeing only with your opinion that you think he's an idiot," she said. Skyra half meant it. She knew he was smart, couldn't really deny it in the end. He knew when she was lying, caught her gaze and the glance at the pendent. An uneasy feeling stirred in her. She would have to be super careful around him.
Askeli suddenly realized something. "Reading up on your enemy?" she said, with a glance at Sebastian.
"Hardly," Skyra lied smoothly, more clear, more persuasive. Anyone, even an demon could be fooled. Dragons were the master of tongues and lying counted as one.
Askeli hesitated, then glanced at the sign reading DEMON in fancy gold lettering. "Uh-huh. Sureeee. I'm REALLY convinced now."
Although, if the sign hadn't been there, and if Skyra hadn't been about to turn into the aisle, Askeli would definitely have been fooled.
Sebastian slurped out of his straw in a loud and obnoxious way, earning him a few prized glances from the staff. He winked in their direction before continuing to scribble in his already-filled notebook. He frowned at it, realizing he'd have to get a new one soon. All the pages were filled, but the notebook was twice it's normal size thickness-wise. Plenty of extra papers were stuffed into it, held together with staples, paper clips, tape, and even glue. Small sealed paper pockets were tucked in every other page, containing something related to whatever subject was on the page. A good 75% of the notebook was information on angels or demons, of which Sebastian had collected over his grand short years on earth, via various demons and hunters.
Skyra looked pointedly at the other side that said WEREWOLVES in the same script and then back at Askeli, her eyebrows lifted.
Askeli pulled some binoculars out of her pocket, peering at Sebastian's notebook. "Information." she breathed quietly, putting the binoculars away and turning back to Skyra before the other demon could notice. "That little...that little...he's collecting information! But for what?" she murmured to herself.
Tara wrote: "Skyra looked pointedly at the other side that said WEREWOLVES in the same script and then back at Askeli, her eyebrows lifted."
Askeli almost believed it, but then thought, Why would she want to read about werewolves? "Admit it. You're getting information. But at least you're not filing it like...like...that!" she said disgustedly, with a glance at Sebastian.

Skyra turned, hiding her face in the shadows from Sebastian and looked at his pages with naked eyes. Her eyesight was exceptional. She took in every word of what he was writing. Her eyes narrowed in thought. "Shush," she reminded Askeli. "I could find out."
Askeli immediately understood and pretended to be looking through the shelves. She quietly said, "I could...help. I may also be a demon, but I don't spy on others like him."
Sebastian frowned, feeling eyes on him. He slammed the notebook shut, anger rising in his chest. he stuffed it into his bag, standing up abruptly, leaning over the railing, smiling when he saw the two girls trying to hide behind the bookshelves.
"Evening ladies!" He called out, giving them both a hasty salute before making his way out the door. May as well get a dorm room set up. At least those two assbutts couldn't bother him there.

Askeli's eyes gleamed. "Are you good at disguises?" she asked Skyra.
Skyra didn't answer Askeli but came straight in front of Sebastian, right outside the library door with speed. It was reckless but she didn't have much time. "Wait."
Askelie sighed, deciding to ask the question later.
Sebastian smiled. "Sorry, deal's off now, sweetheart. I'm not messing around with you anymore." He nodded to Askelie, as if she was the reason he didn't want to make any deals.
"Angels are confidential, my friend." He pretended to zip his mouth closed, before reaching to open the door again.

"It's your loss also," Skyra said, not really seeing lost. Worth a try. She disappeared within the next second, out of the library.
He shrugged. He felt less interest in her species since the encounter. He suspected the excitement in noticing some of her powers was dulled. He skipped out of the library happily. He could probably bribe ol' Sammy into giving him some information. He smiled at the thought as he turned towards his dorm.
Askeli approached Skyra. "Good at disguises?"
((Sure.))
Sam appeared within a second, fuming at the thought of that unintelligent demon brute giving away information on his own species. That was none of his business doing; Sebastian wouldn't have any information on the angels if it wasn't for the lousy supernaturals themselves.
He began a brisk walk after Sebastian, fists clenched. He felt like it would be better to walk into his dorm than just appear. He knew the demon had an angel banishing sigil in his room. And Samael was no idiot.
