yeah it really has, and no one really participants with group read discussions so some activity would be good, I suppose we are all guilty of not coming on as much as we should
Can everyone please suggest some books for group reads? We can choose only 2 books so that more people read the same books and discuss them.
That may be a good idea. I know that for a while life got in the way of reading and participating with this site. Things are better now but I'm just getting back into the swing of reading again. I would like to have a couple of books for group reads but maybe we should also think about another challenge. They seemed to go over well.
what kind of books are the members interested in reading? I suggest in honor of Halloween and Brad Pitt's movie, I nominate World War Z and maybe for lighter reading, No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency?
I remember we had nominated some books for july that we were supposed to carry forward, if not then maybe warm bodies? lol its not scary but the guy is a zombie so I dunno
You are right Missberry I just went and checked out the books that were nominated. There are a couple of good ones there...
I found one that looks good The Knife of Never Letting Go. Other ideas? I haven't read a book about Zombie's yet so that choice may be different.
I am going to make a poll whether you guys want to vote for books for September. Please every one vote!
It took me a couple of tries to be able to vote it seems the sight is over capacity. If anyone has a hard time voting just try again.
I'm guessing that we voted for no September reads but I'm not really sure. I really had not been participating much on this site in August but it looks like many people have taken a break from this group. I've really discovered challenges. Could we get a seasonal challenge going? I suggest seasonal because then you could start it in the middle of September.
You guys voted that you wanted September group reads so I made a poll. I will announce the books when some books have enough votes.
Thank you for your suggestion Rebecca! I will think of some categories for seasonal challenge that will start in the middle of September. You can comment some categories!

Some catagories that I think would be good are: Fall, of course, Halloween, Veterans day, Christmas and maybe a couple that are a bit different....Boss's day and Sweetest day! I don't know if there are any holidays in other countries, I live in the U.S., that we could also use to maybe get some different catagories going for this challenge. Any ideas?
There is Teachers' Day on October 5th and Dictionary Day (in honour of Noah Webster) on October 16.Or as Neil Gaiman has a wonderful short story "October in the Chair" (published in the 'Fragile Things' collection), why not make one of the categories books by Neil Gaiman.
