I'm not a Twitter expert either but I think I am getting better at it, slowly! Would be interested to hear of other people's experiences with Twitter, use of hashtags etc. Here I am: https://twitter.com/MikeRobbins19

I set up a Twitter account for my book and quickly got 600 people following me...550 authors who aren't interested in my book, 40 people who can help me sell my book and maximise profits and 10 people who actually care. I stopped using it and just use my personal one as an author account and the few people who are interested add me when they come.

A good point, writers following each other will probably not sell many books.
