Sam is obviously a controversial character. What do you think of her and why?

hmm Interesting question.... hard to know for sure as she don't really know her, she's not very open. Based on what I've seen of her so far (I've read The Gathering and The Calling) I agree with Maria and really rather like her. Maybe I'll find out more about her when I read The Rising.

Sam is a character with mixed intentions and personalities. Throughout the story she is known as a tough girl however she experienced rough things in life which make her a girls that cares but doesnt show it. Although she has some situations in which she is guilty at some points is trying to protect maya from situations that can be dangerous.

Therefore she is a good character but has moments in which she is mean.
