Modern Good Reads discussion

I have heard so many things about this series... Some good and some bad. What did you think?

I LOVED it! It is so well written and intelligent. The language is so beautiful, especially the poems. If you like the YA Dystopian genre, this is a must!

I loved the first one, because the Society was (to me) so interesting in its conception. The second book left me cold, and the third was ultimately satisfying but less interesting than the first.

The second book is nonetheless essential to understanding the third. And note that I am old enough to be cynical, unlike the teenagers for whom these books were written. So my view of the series is quite different from that of its natural audience.

You guys are convincing me. :) Added to my list...

Matched was the first dystopia I read and I LOVED it! The second book--I couldn't get through the first five chapters. I am debating on whether to read the third book.
