Mitch Rapp Support Team discussion

We all love Vince Flynn, but apart from the obvious authors like Lee Child and Brad Thor. Who else do you guy's think is similar?

There are not any that are similar. I mean you have Robert Crais but even his books are not even in the same cat.

I like Tom Woods, granted his main character is an assassin, who does the odd job for the CIA but I like that Victor has the same lets get things done attitude that Rapp and Reacher both have. Unfortunately theres only three books !!!

Haven't found anybody yet. I'm still looking tho...

Barry Eisler - John Rain series

Mark Greaney - Court Gentry series

Ben Coes - Dewey Andreas series

Brad Taylor - Pike Logan series

Daniel Silva - Gabriel Allon series


These are all really good, not sure anything is as full on as Mitch though!

Ben Coes is definitely cut from a very similar cloth - Vince Flynn was actually a fan of his I believe

Ben Coes comes close to Vince Flynn.... I haven't read the other authors hence my judgement is very limited....

A couple authors who reviewed my book, Safe Havens suggested it had many Flynn style elements. First 6 chapters are free on Amazon if you want to judge for yourself.

Perhaps you would enjoy Steve Berry. Cotton Malone series is fantastic. Mitch Rapp vs Cotton Malone now there is a fight I would love to see

Ben Coes is awesome. I like Daniel Silva his main character Gabriel Allon is similar to Mitch Rapp. i also discovered Boyd Morrison it is a bit different but a great read

John Gilstrap

Just began reading Scot Harvath series (Brad Thor). Fast paced but the character does not have the same dark intensity as Mitch Rapp. Love Mitch's no-nonsense/no apology attitude. Will check out Ben Coes.

After Flynn, Coes is my favorite

I've been enjoying the John Milton series of books by Mark Dawson. Milton is a retired British assassin that is traveling the world seeking redemption from his past.
If you like Mitch Rapp, you'll like Milton.

Currently reading Sierra Six by Mark Greaney. The main character Court Gentry is similar to Mitch Rapp.

I really enjoy the Court Gentry (Gray Man) series! However, it's not quite the same as Mitch Rapp and the level of research and detail.

Kyle, you did an excellent job when you took over writing the Mitch Rapp novels. For me, the transition was almost seamless. You will be missed.

Ben Coes fits in with the Vince Flynn type of author

I agree with Dimitry Orlov, Kyle Mills did an excellent job continuing with Vince Flynn’s dynamic storytelling style. Andrew Kaplan comes to mind with his “Hour of the Assassins,” the Scorpion series, “Carrie’s Run, A Homeland Novel,” etc.
