Rush
question
Maya Banks? Will I be disappointed reading her books?

I have never read any of Maya Banks' books. But I see them displayed up front in the big bookstores chains. Before I kick out $10 or more per book on my Kindle, are her books any good?

I love her books especially the breathless series. I can’t wait for Burn. I want to know where ash will end up.
I enjoyed Rush but was not a big fan of fever but with that being said I feel like I have to read the third book when it comes out to finish the series
Maya Banks is one of my favorite authors. She can put emotion so good in her books. I like her suspense, menage, BDSM stories and series, even historical ones. I'm not too fond with her short stories though. Maybe because she can develop the characters more in longer stories than short ones.
Loved the Sweet Series! But the latest trilogy did nothing for me and I dnf the third book. But the Sweet series was really good
I've just started reading Rush and OMG, I just love how she describes the love scenes. They are so sensual, I can almost feel it! She has become my new goddess of erotic-romance! At first I was bothered by the fact that the POVs are mixed together (I like it better when there are chapters for each character's POV, like what Kelley Armstrong does). But at page 120, it does not bother me anymore. This is one hot book.
I love Maya Banks. I loved Rush and Fever. Looking forward to Burn also.

I have read many of Maya Banks books. Rush and Fever I found to be very good and entertaining. Looking forward to Burn very much. I buy part of my books in audio to listen as I drive.....except I started these two and brought them with me to play on the computer, every where I went. No kidding. I even sat up one night and listened to them until the very end...a lot of CD believe me. Didn't care, had to hear it.

I really enjoy her books. My fave series is the KGI so far. I enjoyed Rush, but not really Fever.. The sweet series I really enjoyed the first 4, but she lost me on the last two... Haven't read her Scottish historicals, but my friend really liked them. I liked her paranormals as well and most of her stand alones. I have read 45ish books
I have read many of her books! I do like her writing style and my favorite of her her books is the KGI series. The new Breathless series is good but some of her other books are much better. I have read the KGI series, The Colter's series, the Sweet series and the first 2 of the Breathless series. Maya Banks is one of my favorite authors!
I would recommend reading the Sweet Series before anything else. I enjoyed those much, much more than this past series. I also have to say her Highlander series is totally awesome if you feel like branching our to historicals (McCabe Trilogy and Armstrong-McDonalds). Well worth it with Maya. The first series I ever read of hers was the KGI series (I was in a SEALS/Military phase then and I LOVED that series). This lastest is my least favorite.
I really enjoyed Rush..I started Fever then put it on hold for now and I will get back to it. I had only read two chapters of Fever.
I liked Rush and Fever, but I love her Scottish historical romance books.
I've only read Rush #1 and Fever #2 of the Breathless Trilogy. I really liked Rush. I think the characterizations were good and the plot moved nicely. The sex was hot and the build up was good between the two of them with just the right amount of angst. There was one scene that most people, myself included have a problem with but I dealt with it and liked the book a lot. In fact, if anything it makes the "Hero" shown as someone who can make big mistakes. I hate books where everyone is perfect all the time. He definitely is not perfect.
I didn't like Rush as much, there was no build up between the main characters and I'm not someone who buys into love or even obsession at first sight. I also felt like the "hero", Jace made a pretty big personality change from the first book and it bothered me. I liked the heroine but she seemed a little innocent for someone that had been living in her conditions for as long as she had, but I still liked her.
I don't remember my reviews exactly buy I'd give the 1st book a 4 and the 2nd a 2, I just didn't believe he loved her so quickly, The stalking was over the top

I read the first in this series and was really excited to read the 2nd book but I was disappointed in the storyline.
MB is into 'multi partner thingy' --- but her story lines are great. She has her own style :)

I read Rush and I am almost done with Fever. I can't wait for Burn to come out (unfortunately not until August), This is the first time reading her books and I hope to read more.
Love Maya Banks!! I read the Sweet Surrender. Can anyone tell me what order to read the rest of them? There are five more on Amazon, but I can't figure out if I should read them in some order?
i really enjoy her. i've picked up the Rush Series, and Fever which is book 2 and those are great. there's really good character development and you get sucked into the dynamic of the story outside of anything sexual. while that does play a key role (ala 50 shades or bared to you) there's definitely more. so don't be apprehensive about spending the money. you'll be pleased.
I would recommend the series but if the money is holding you back, see if someone can or would lend it to you on kindle... I would but i have the books in paperback... i liked Rush more than Fever, but i liked Gabe and Mia's story more than Jace's and I will read Burn because I love Ash's character.
I preferred Fever to Rush. Although they were both equally well-written, Rush had a scene in it around 3/4's of the way through that bothered me immensely. Fever was enjoyable, though perhaps a bit overwrought at times, but nothing in it bothered me. I expect Burn should be good fun. I haven't read anything else from Maya Banks - are her other books as sexy as these are?
Never!!! Her books are great!! I loved her Sweet series, the Anetakis Tycoons series was good too as was the Pregnancy and Passion series... i really like the breathless trilogy too!!

I didn't enjoy Rush so much, a couple of disturbing scenes, however I did enjoy the second book Fever (although there are also disturbing scenes). I will definitely buy Burn when it comes out, hopefully it will be good as well. The men in the series are extremely dominating, so if that is not your scene then I would not recommend them.
Her books are hit and miss (imo). Some are really good and some...not so much. I like Rush and Fever. I will be purchasing Burn, as well.
Think fifty shades of greyish... It was good enough for me to buy Fever (the second book) but so not worth it. Horrible read. I have to finish the seriers tho i just really hope Burn (third book) makes up for the Fever.
I was not a fan of this book, but apparently Fever is better and her books are good in general. This was the first book I've read by her.
I really like the the first book and now can't wait to read Fever. She is one of my favorite author to read from. She is so good that her wide range of stories is great to read. I also read some of them over too.
