So ... What do we think will happen?

We've seen the cover and hopefully read the synopsis for Gabriel's Redemption on SR's website. Lots of questions have been flying around: "Who/what is the nemesis which threatens Gabriel and Julia." "What secrets are hidden in Gabriel's past?" "How will he and Julia overcome their respective conflicts?"
Of course, only SR knows the answers though he's promised tasty teasers until December. What are your ideas on the possibilities? Personally, I suspect that Simon and Christa have something cooking. Possibly Professor Pain ... and Paulina?

I do think Paulina will make an appearance at some point. She still has a slight hold over Gabriel. Despite him being forgiven by Maia, I suspect Paulina, either on her own or in cahoots with someone else, will come back.

Of course, we can theorise forever and anon. However, I feel there may be something else … and who knows what spanners SR has thrown into the works by using his fertile imagination?

I really hope Gabriel has his operation and can have kids with Julia.Looking forward to lots of baby making scenes :).I think professor singer may be involved somehow in this story.i asked SR on twitter awhile ago about what it was Gabriel did to her for her to throw him out of her house during their last intimate emcounter.He teased possibly in book 3 we'll find out
I think the nemesis might be Christa and Pain, and/or Simon, and hope that it's not Gabriel's past drug abuse, especially since they are in Boston where he first adopted his habits. I doubt if it's Paul; but with his love for Julia, who knows? I hope that he doesn’t team up with Christa, all in the name of love.
My money is on Christa and Pain though. If I could remember, Christa and Pain had an affair, and it was Pain who told Christa about Julia and Gabriel’s "closeness" in Italy. He even sent her the newspaper clippings as proof, which she presented to the faculty investigating the matter between Gabriel and Julia. Added Pain had eyes for Julia back in Italy, and since he has a bit of hate for Gabriel, what better way to stick it to Mr. Dante Specialist—Prof. Gabriel Emerson—than to go after his woman?
Christa wants Gabriel, badly, and she will stop at nothing until she gets a piece of him. Therefore, I could see how Christa would need and utilize Pain to her advantage to achieve such. I’m sure she bitter as hell that Julia is Mrs. Gabriel Emerson, a title she wanted for herself.
The Paulina theory is possible also. Especially, since it’s hinted, on SR’s website, that Julia is offer a position at Oxford. The same Oxford where Gabriel met Paulina?
With Simon, anything is possible.
The plot in this series is so well written that any of these are possible. I just can’t wait to get my hands of the darn book.
