Journey to the Center of the T.A.R.D.I.S - SPOILERS AHEAD
Has anyone seen the gallery for this episode on BBC one website? There is a picture there of a book and it says on it 'The History of the time war'
It's so close! I love it whenever I get to see another part of the TARDIS. I'm pretty sure that it's only happened a few times in the new Doctor Who. There was the Christmas Invasion, and The Doctor's Wife, and, umm, that's all I can think of.
Ergh, I'm so excited! Especially since Clara learns the Doctor's name! *flaps hands around* I'M HYPERVENTILATING! And the Doctor is going to confront the Clara mystery head-on and he has it out with Clara! SO EXCITED!

I must have missed something...when did Clara learn the Doctor's name? Is it true that the viewers will learn the Doctor's name by the end of this season?Meanwhile I am just excited to get to see the swimming pool in the library. I wonder if it will start a trend of swimming pools in libraries. All that wasted wall space with swimming pools!

It was a hint given out by a Doctor Who website about something that occurs in this episode! Hopefully it does. We will see.
And by the way, guys, today is Jenna-Louise Coleman's birthday! :)
Sorry to disappoint "2005+ Only" fans but Technically this will be the second time we have seen a swimming pool in the TARDIS. During the Tom Baker Era of the Classic series. During the last episode with Leela The Invasion of Time Leela and Borusa hide in the changing stalls from a Sontaran.
THIS EPISODE MADE ME CRY AND EVERYTHING WAS IN IT AND THE TARDIS AND THE PEOPLE HURTING THE TARDIS AND THE ZOMBIES AND THE TIME RIFT AND THE BUTTON AND THE ENGINE AND THERE WAS SO MUCH STUFF I JUST CAN'T STAND IT.
Oh God... this episode. THIS EPISODE. I don't even know what to say. I'm sure I'll know what to say in a wee bit, but right now I am speechless. It had me on the edge of my seat, clutching my face in suspense. It was so thrilling! And the Whouffle made my heart melt into a pile of goo, and the library and the book and the TARDIS, ergh! I'm going to have a heart attack.
I can't believe Clara knows the doctors name now...ugh, driving me insane!
She might not. After all, the evens of JTTCOTT got erased, didn't they? I don't think she remembers. We'll have to see!
I had a really hard time following it because it moved so quickly. It's a good thing I save all of the episodes on DVR and I have captioning so that I can rewind and read what the characters say. Maybe it's part of aging, that I take a few seconds to understand. Eris, what the Whouffle? I know when Clara was looking at some of the things I recognized them but couldn't place that.
I do like how the episodes all tie together. I watched last week's and picked up on the set up for this week's episode where the Doctor questioned Clara's attitude towards the Tardis.
What is Whouffle? This is Whouffle!
Basically Whouffle is the name that is given for the Clara and the Doctor by fans who really adore their relationship.
I just watched the episode online.AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe Clara found out his name. Obviously, she has forgotten now but still she knew even if it wasn't for long.
GREAT EPISODE!!!! And those creatures were EXTREMELY CREEPY.
My favourite episode in this part of the series closely followed by Rings of Akhaten.
Sorry for not being as much of a Fanboy as I used to be but I just thought this one was OK. I've seen better and I have seen far far worse (BTW I don't think there was anything bad about this one so don't think I hated it) I'd put it at about a 7 or 8 out of 10 TARDISs (TARDISes? TARDI?)
RE: Whouffle will take me a while to get used to that and remember what the heck it is.

I think it sounds a little better (Who-Flay), but looks weird (Who-Full, or Who-Flee)

I am trying to figure out where they got the uffle for WHOUffle. On the soap opera I watch sometimes the fans connect the characters' names into one when referring to the romance between them. ex. Lante= Lulu/Dante, Spixie = Spinelli and Maxie.
I have to add though, the one thing I didn't like about this episode was the ending. To me a reset button is just a big fat cheat to ending a DW episode. That's my opinion. I think that the script could have been better.
Other than that the episode is one of my favourites in the 2nd part of this series

Oh my goodness. I can't believe I didn't figure that out! Thanks
Just watched it - and oh my... AHH!! SO CONFUSING!!!Did Clara remember it?
How did they turn into zombies?
Why was the TARDIS acting so... hostile?
Why was the Center so... quiet???
Why wasn't the library and the swimming pool combined?
What were the voices Clara heard in the control room? (Amy's "We are IN SPACE!!" among others)
etc, etc, etc.
Oh and...
WHY WERE THEY HURTING THE TARDIS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
And I loved this, by the way. Bit hard to follow but captivating and mind-boggling. They just keep getting better and better! (for me)
Oh, and did I need to mention that I was wearing my TARDIS T-shirt through-out the episode?

to answer some of the answerable questions
1. Clara doesn't remember it but The Doctor does
2. Not only was the past bleeding through but so was the future so the zombies were them burning up in the future but obviously they stopped that future from happening (yeah I know totally confusing)
3. I think it was because that guy was destroying the TARDIS (i think not exactly sure)
4. I asked myself the same question
5. ?
6. They were all voices from the past. Probably because the past was bleeding through I guess
I wish I had a TARDIS shirt.
It's the only piece of Doctor Who clothing I own. My friend however... has a generous mum. Expecting more for my next b'day, though. Not that I'm a spoiled brat, it's just my mum works with people who design Doctor Who stuff (she's a clothing designer. Nothing special)Oh, and thankyou for answering my questions. Wasn't really expecting that.

and you're welcome :)
Well... when I say work with... I mean she's talked to them and they work across the road in a different branch of the business. Her side's Casco Blu but I'm not sure what the other side is. Anyway they have a BBC license which means they;re allowed to design Doctor Who things (it's a tough license, just sayin'), among others.Ugh. I'm a raver. Ravers just go on and on and on and on...
?I think I missed the swimming pool. Either that or BBC America cut that bit out.
[edit] saw a picture of it, and I don't think BBC America showed it. When does it pop up?

Thanks... I'll have to double check I think after the observatory they either went to a commercial or skipped to the next scene with the Doctor. UGH sometimes BBCA can be annoying.

Ahh, you see... ABC doesn't have commercials in episodes, only in between episodes, and even they are only ads for other shows. We Aussies are a bit lucky.
Back in the days of the PBS (Public Broadcasting Service) since that was commercial free TV the classic episodes of Doctor Who could be enjoyed in all their uninterrupted fullness. Unfortunately BBCA is a greedy commercial showing Cable TV station.
If the show is made with the idea of not having commercials than maybe that is part of the reason it seems to move so quickly for me. I watched the episode with Tom Baker last night and it was very good and I had no trouble following the action or the speech. For me this new season seems to have a lot darker pictures as well. I find myself wanting to scream "Turn on more camera lights!" I have to say with each episode I am growing more and more fond of Matt Smith.
I saw both the swimming pool and the library in JTTCOE, just not in the same scene, together. I wish too that they had shown more rooms and less corridors.
I wish there had been more to the library scene. Having the Time-Zombie chase Clara up some stairs and into other nooks of the library would have been cool.

Alas, they have a time limit of 45 minutes, so they can only do so much. Personally, I felt they did remarkably well with the limit they had. And that's why I feel lucky to watch the episodes online - no commerical breaks! I understand why BBCA has commercials, though - they have to make money after all, in order to keep themselves on the air and to provide the content we enjoy.Oh, and Leyah, you were wondering what the voices in the TARDIS were (courtesy of BBC's Doctor Who page):
"Immediately after Bram tries to dismantle the TARDIS console we hear an audio mosaic of lines from previous episodes– some more clearly than others… We initially catch the Doctor’s granddaughter, Susan, from An Unearthly Child, revealing how the initials of TARDIS stand for Time and Relative Dimension in Space. Also from that story, towards the end of the sequence, you can hear one of the people she was addressing – Ian Chesterton – expressing his astonishment at the nature of the ship! The clips from that scene are taken from:
• An Unearthly Child, episode 1. (see above)
• Colony in Space, episode 1. The Third Doctor explains to Jo Grant that the TARDIS is dimensionally transcendental.
• The Robots of Death, episode 1. The Fourth Doctor discusses trans-dimensional engineering with Leela.
• The Doctor’s Wife. The TARDIS asks if ‘sexy thing’ is her name!
• Rose. The Ninth Doctor assures Rose that the assembled hordes of Genghis Khan couldn’t get through ‘that door’.
• The Beast Below. Amy Pond reflects that she is in space…
• Smith and Jones. Martha Jones struggles to understand the TARDIS."
I LOVED the fact that we heard 9's voice!! <3 <3 <3 YAAAAAAAAAAY. I was beyond pleased! This episode was really good, and I'm beyond glad it was after the monstrosity that was "Hide". I loved the part when they jumped into that white pit, and when Clara found the Doctor's cot and Amy's toy TARDIS...it would've been nice if Rose's purple shirt had been there too, but oh well. It was absolutely fantastic!! @Eris: Thanks for that list! I wanna rewatch it now so I can hear all those; the only one I could identity was 9's <3

Rose's shirt should be in one of the massive wardrobe rooms not a general storage room.

My bad, rewatched "Journey to the Center of the TARDIS" on Demand and Yep they had the Pool there. I guess I wasn't paying much attention at the time (it is after the storage room when Clara is being chased by the female Time-Zombie and is very quick.
One thing I noticed the first time I saw the episode and haven't really seen a reason is when Clara is being chased by the Time Zombie the TZ is holding its hand up to its eye. It does it a few times, I don't recall it getting hit in the head at anytime?

AHHHH! I've always wanted to know more about the TARDIS! AND we get to see the swimming pool in the library! :D :D. Here's a preview clip that the BBC so lovingly gave us (spoilers AHEAD):http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p018448t
