Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments This book is pretty good so far. Are all three books as entertaining as this one? I'm about 40% through and it is going by quite fast.

Jennifer (jenniewren10) | 2 comments I certainly thought so! :-)
I really love those type of books that you can't put down and end up reading so fast!

Jacob Rayne | 36 comments I thought they got better as it went on. Cellar was my least favourite out of the three. Midnight Tour is outstanding. I wouldn't bother with Friday night in beast house, it's only half-finished and not upto the quality of the trilogy.

Kate I loved Midnight Tour as well. I haven't read Friday Night in the Beast House but it has quite a few negative reviews.

Jimi (jtsavage) | 34 comments the end is killer Adam

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments Laymon knew how to end a story.

Kate Adam, I have Midnight Tour and I'm sure it's lendable so if you want it let me know.

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments Thank you, Kate. Let me finish the first two and I will take you up on that!

It wasn't finished and you could tell!

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments About to order a paperback copy of Dreadful Tales. I haven't read any of Laymon's short works and was wondering if anyone had any input before I push the button... thoughts?

message 11: by Kate (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate I've definitely read this but I'm a bit hazy on details. Out Are the Lights is a short story collection I definitely enjoyed .wish it would come out in ebook.

message 12: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments There are some more ebooks available for pre-order, Kate. I don't know if that is one of them, though.

message 13: by Kate (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate No, unfortunately not. :(

message 14: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments Oh, well. I read the description for Out Are The Lights, and it is actually a novel. Not a short story collection...

message 15: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments ... yet there is a collection listed on Wikipedia entitled Out Are The Lights and other stories. I stand somewhat corrected.

message 16: by Kate (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate There are 5 short stories that follow the novella. I think the book version they have on Ammy has these included.

message 17: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments Oh. That makes sense. They could have done better on the synopsis.

message 18: by Kate (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kate It's a pretty good read. I had a look at the future releases, it's good they're releasing them for such a great price. At the moment some of the ebooks I don't have are $13, way too much.

message 19: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments $13 is really too much. I started Beast House yesterday, but then I got NOS4A2 so I had to drop everything for that one.

message 20: by Mark (new) - rated it 3 stars

Mark | 7 comments a ebook collection if any of you have a kindle etc..

Jeremy Boatwright | 8 comments Adam - how is NOS4A2. I just read heart shaped box and loved it. Echo city is next. It had mixed reviews, but I loved heart shaped box!

message 22: by Jimi (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jimi (jtsavage) | 34 comments I liked it better

message 23: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments Jeremy, I think NOS4A2 is Hill's finest work to date. I love Heart Shaped Box, too. Horns is equally cool, but in its own way.

message 24: by Jimi (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jimi (jtsavage) | 34 comments it was more fast pace than those two book's

message 25: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments Very much so. The plot seemed much more in the fantasy vein than his other two as well.

message 26: by Jimi (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jimi (jtsavage) | 34 comments Holliday music will never be the same.

message 27: by Tim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tim Bedair | 15 comments Yes just started nos4a2 so far so good loved horns so for laymon im having a hard time figuring out which one to read next I loved the fast paced of endless night and love serial killers so that story for me was absolutely my fav I also liked come out tonight I want to read another like those maybe with a little depth but not slow any help? I already have almost all his ebooks ive been reading alot of crouch and kilborn lately but its time for some more laymon in the mix

Amanda (queenjaneapproximately) | 2 comments This thread is pretty old but I just joined the group after finishing The Cellar, my third Laymon book so far. I have a few more I've picked up at used book stores to read. I don't do ebooks so hopefully I can find the read of the Beast House series! That ending was wild! I definitely didn't see it coming.
I do wish that (view spoiler)

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments What others have you read, Amanda?

Shawn Thornton (shawntsxs) | 4 comments Hey guys I love the cellar its the novel that got me into horror. I will never forget that ending at the time I couldn't believe it.

message 31: by Joe (new) - rated it 3 stars

Joe Stamber Hi Amanda, I have a mixture of Laymon books, paperback and Kindle. If you are happy to buy on line, there are quite a few second hand sites that have Laymon books at decent prices... well, there were last time I looked.

I've read Endless Night and Blood Games. I really enjoyed them both, but Endless Night is my favorite so far.

Thanks Joe, I'll definitely check online if I can't find them in a store. There are some pretty decent used book stores where I live, thankfully.

message 33: by Adam (new) - rated it 4 stars

Adam Light (goodreadscomadamlight) | 61 comments I thought Endless Night was one of Laymon's best, Amanda. I have read two dozen of them, but Blood Games is one of the ones I have not.

message 34: by Ray (new) - rated it 5 stars

Ray Kelly | 1 comments I just finished The Cellar today and must say what a good read it was.Now some of the content made me uncomfortable but i guess it is designed to do that.

The Cellar is my first Laymon read,on to The Beast House next.

I am Hooked.

Ray

Torgeir | 1 comments I'm seeing comments here that the last book was not finished. Does that mean that it just stops suddenly midway, or have someone else tried to finish it for him?

(no spoilers please)
