Kinda. The beginning of book 2 is pretty dry. And there's a plot point that was just stupid in the first book. I could tell it was a lie, and all the characters were oblivious.

Simon, I found Jace to be annoying and rather rude, plus you ALWAYS choose the nerd, especially if you think the other guy is your brother for a book and a half. Plus Simon is awesome without being a shadow hunter, he injured a Higher Demon, while 3 shadow hunters could do nothing, and he did all of this for Clary. I mean, how can you not love this boy?

I love Simon even though he sometimes act pissy and moody but Jace...good Lord Jace. He's tough and cocky but so vulnerable. And his POV is my absolute favorite!

neither. Simon needs someone else, and if Clary nad Jace are together, CLary's stupid choices will end up killing Jace. So, neither
