Christian Teens Unite discussion

In an attempt to get some book discussions going, anyone else who loves (or even dislikes) Lord of the Rings? There is something about Tolkien's writing that I just love, and Fellowship of the Ring is definitely my favorite book :) I'd love to discuss with everyone!

Feel free to post your own favorite books as well...I don't want to hog the entire post :)

I really did love Lord of the Rings, though I will admit, it's been 25 years since I have read them, and I only read The Hobbit and Fellowship. Tolkein and C.S. Lewis are who inspired me to write. I totally loved the idea of completely making up a whole world with languages, history, creatures, and all of that kind of thing. So imaginative!

Unfortunately, I've only seen the movies. :C I'm planning on reading the books, but I'm not sure when that'll be, considering I'm busy with school and band.

I totally get that. My Kindle is so backed up with books I want to read, I think I am set for life. The only stuff I've been reading these days is stuff I've written! Ha ha.

Same here--I've always loved reading, but Lord of the Rings really got me into writing and languages. Tolkien's writing is absolutely beautiful!

Haha, totally me as well...somehow my book list grows faster than I can read the books.

Yeah... I posted on Facebook asking for some book recommendations and I got waaaaay too many.
