I'm actually really excited for this. I've never read any Vonnegut (I don't even know how this happened tbh), so this is the perfect opportunity. I read the first page on my kindle and it seems like something I'll end up digging quite a bit.
I had a bit of problem finishing this, because the time jumps made me question whether I was interested or not, but by the time I had finished it I was left with the need to read more of what he has written.
I had forgotten the amazing term "bitchy flibbertygibbet."I read this the first time in 11th grade. I took this hybrid English/History class and this was one of our WWII novels. It caused a lot of controversy with a few kids, but I loved it. My teacher gave me a copy of Breakfast of Champions to read next.
I'm a big Vonnegut nerd. I saw him speak in Ohio ages ago and even named my iPod Kilgore Trout and it has a Vonnegut quote on the back. /csb
I have seen "so it goes" and "everything was beautiful and nothing hurt" tattooed on so many people so many times that i just cant bring myself to actually read this book.. :(I am ranting. please don't be offended all you fans..
