Thanks, Tui.

I could never understand authors who buy reviews that would fit ANY work of writing :)

I have a lot to say about TWITTER!

I find that authors helping authors, helps themselves. When you are pushing someone's book on Twitter it takes the reader to your own work. To wish success for others brings success to you. It behooves me that some Tweets are not good marketing strategies. For example: Tweets that could be better used as emails do nothing to enhance the success of a book.

To use Twitter successfully it is important that you expose a short passage of your book, and your ability to tease a reader and get them interested is a careful process. It is not easy to abbreviate the power of a story. But it is possible.

The other important thing while using Twitter, is, you must RE-Tweet what others Tweet about you. (If you like it) This exposes you to all of their own followers.

It's good to FAVORITE other writers and retweet their work at least once a week, or look at those who are not following you and RETWEET them and you will find a ton of new followers in your mail box the very same day.

The reason I push Twitter is, I have found books there, bought them, read them, reviewed them and enjoyed them.

Another good thing is, authors are being watched by agents and Traditional Publishers who check sales of Indie authors. If you check the list of topics on Twitter and follow traditional publishers, agents, editors and writers, you are home.

One successful young Indie author/writer Amanda Hockings, spent 8 hours a day marketing her first book and became a sensation. A high ranking publisher saw her on twitter, went to her website, saw her sales, and contracted her. Now she has more time to write, while her publisher does the work, and well they should. She made them millions.

Good luck and I wish you the best in your success!

Best,
Jo
